[b]Merry Meet coffeeortea,
Well its best she seek Psychiatric Help, there is nothing much you can do at the moment. Once she seek the orthodox treatments, you can do a destress/healing Spell for her to aid her in her path to recovery. there are many kind of Psychiatric conditions, some individual will haven volatile behaviour or suicidal prone due to depression. These conditions is very serious that require immediate treatments, the best you can do at the moment is to encourage her to seek Medical Help, accompany her to go for her appointment with Psychiatrist.
By the i do not think this Topic is relevant or appropriate to be discuss in my Haven. But i do understand your eagerness to help your friend & thanks for keeping my LOA in your thoughts. Maybe you would like to share more dtails of her conditions.

[b]Merry Meet coffeeortea,
Well its always hard to make the first step but if one never make the first step there will not be any movement, if you never try you will never know. Just give her more time, the best you can do at the moment is staying by her side, encouraging her giving her moral & emotional support.

I am not sure what kind of psychological problem your friend have, but if it is depression, it is best she seeks help as soon as possible. My cousin has mild depression 4 yrs ago and he kept it from us. When we found out (after 1 yr), he insisted that he kept it under control and it was ok. His guardians chose to believe him 'coz they did not know very much about depression. This problem drags until now. Last year, his condition grew so bad that it became early psychosis. He became suspicous of everything/everyone and treat everyone badly. His condition grew bad that we had to send him to IMH. The consultant of IMH told us if he was treated early, it might not turn into early psychosis.Originally posted by coffeeortea:i agree, i have encouraged her to consult a psychologist, she is very reluctant though.
thank you all for your wonderful response, i will stand by her and she is also very happy about the response that she has read from you guys.Originally posted by KFDugong:yup its always hard to make a first step.. and if u dun try u will indeed never know.
But i think (and this is just what I think) another problem here is, the difficulty of admitting you have a problem. Sometimes you dun wan someone else to help becos you dun think they cld ever understand.
And you wld be right too... cos no one can fully truly understand you but yourself. Another problem is possibly refusing to admit something is wrong to the extent you need help. Maybe its the stigma like Harry said.
Or maybe you believe or want to believe that you can overcome it yourself. Sometimes its like that especially if you have a bit of pride.
My kinda mental issues are boring. The life not worth living and nothing/no one worth living for, and also the nothing worth doing type of moments get me sometimes. Always do things that I dun really wanna do but end up doing anyway.
Suicide thoughts may enter but I know the moment hasnt come to end it yet. Though in a twisted way, I wonder when.
So yah my issues will probably be waved off by people as naive and dumb or what lar.. Like I said I m quite comfortable with them now.
oh no worries. i m still unbalanced.. still somewhat suspicious of people.. and myself at times... but i always remember some wise wordsOriginally posted by coffeeortea:thank you all for your wonderful response, i will stand by her and she is also very happy about the response that she has read from you guys.
i hope u are feeling better now KFDugong.

Consulting a psychologist is not really something to be ashamed of. They are there to help you. If money is the issue, ask your friend to go to a polyclinic and get a reference letter to a hospital that has Psychology department (Mount E or NUH...not sure Gleneagles have or not). That way, your consultation charges will be minimized.
and i d like to add my 1 cent too... talk to your friends... and friends, please try to listen... not hear... listenOriginally posted by MoonIce:if averse to psychologist can seek counselling first at a nearby Welfare services or Family Services centre.
just my 1 cents worths
