wat i found out frm personal exp is that 'lower priced' dog are more well behaved than expensive ones.
Used to have sum exp dog.. it barks at virtually everyone, everything, an unearthly hours.. till neighbours got sick of it and threw stones and water at it. It also has this constant prob of nosebleedin..oh yeah, my dad gave it away to another relative (this dog was given to my dad in the 1st place anyway)
this dog on the other hand, barks at strangers.. pees and poos at a designated corner. Very well trained I must say. But its still a puppy.. very hyperactive which can lead it to trouble sometimes -

Yeah... Predigree need more care & attention, definitely not that hardy. Animals do have spirits too. If you got a pet which pass away, sometime they will come back to find you in their Spirit form, will stay around for awhile before they depart from this Mundane World. I am sure you will feel their presence if you are very attached to them when they are alive.
