With your post count & online time you are definitely worth something. Give it a thought! Everyone got their worth unless they do not have any intention.

Nice try. I will let this pass this time. Do not attempt to stir in a pool if you are unsure of its depth because its a dangerous act.

Merry Meet Alexkusu,Originally posted by alexkusu:today i popped into a new-age shop named Gipzy.. they sell a wide variety of goods.. egyptian charms (Neferiti), buddhas, candles, tarrot decks, crystals, etc..
but what caught my eye was a book of shadows. Im just wondering do any of you guys have one in you possession? It cost around $50 each.. the covers are quite heavy, maybe made from stone..but inside looks like normal paper..

[b]Merry Meet Alexkusu,
Gipzy at where? Never heard of it unless its pretty new. Akashic got pretty nice stuffs too.
Book of Shadow is blank book for writing, mostly are made of parchment paper together with nice hardcover. Some can cost few hundreds because it handmade with carved wood covers or leather bound. Well i do carry them last time, hard cover ones with gold embossed sigils, currently sold out. Not bring them in anymore because shipping freight is pretty high due to the weight. Personally i have a few BOS for different writings just a simple hard cover one & a few that are handmade by myself.

So Book of Shadows is basically just a plain book huh? It feels abit too heavy to be made of wood. Its greyish black in colour and has some kind of celtic symbols? on the covers. I think I go check it out tomorrow. I thought it is a cool thing to have. The description given is that we write recipes, charms, spells, thoughts, etc in it. So basically what you are saying it is nothing more than a common notebook?

Don't be shocked, you can be Le Grande Witch Of Wicca... If Yan can cook so can you! You should know what should be cooking in your cauldron! No cauldron nevermind, you can always get one from me... Cauldron of various sizes aplenty in my store inventory. Renowned Anna Riva always have a Big Cauldron at her fireplace.

Where may you be? Aussie? I am ok with the place.
Its definitely more than a notebook, a book of power more like it. Book of Shadows is your own personal book, containing spells and rituals, and anything else you feel the need to record. Some traditions copy the contents of their coven's Book of Shadows, so that information can be passed down through many generations. Not everyone has access to such an antique book, and it's not really necessary. In ancient time, its a book of secrecy at time written in code or symbolic language like Theban to prevent leakage of its content, In Time of absolute danger, the witch would rather burn their Book of Shadow than let it fall into the hands of others. It represent part of the Witch's Power to some tradition.

The Power lies within the Owner, the Book is just a compendium that grows with you just like an empty glass waiting to be filled up with water of wisdom. New Zealand nice place too all the wooden chest & boxes not forgetting my favourite Kiwi bon bon.
