How to find love for my work?

  Hi all,
  
  firstly i hope the members of Light of Atlantis don't mind me post my question here. (cos i can't find another more appropriate one to post )
  
  I am hoping to find enlightenment hopefully by the light of atlantis to FALL IN LOVE with my work. (landed in this profession out of practicality, hence has never love it before)
  
  But now i am hoping to love it.
  
  Tell me what i can start doing.
  
  Taking stock of my work? how??
  
  and what else??

  Merry Meet a_splash,
  
  Welcome to my haven. Well end of the day, all these are just a matter of choices. You can choose to do your work with LOVE or just do it with REGRET. Whether you like it or not, PRACTICALITY is what that matters from the way you put it. You do not HAVE TO FALL IN LOVE with it immediately however you do it slowly & take your time with it. Like Mopping the floor is a tiring chore, you can choose to do it with a grumpy face or do it with a smiling face knowing after mopping the floor, your love oners will be able to walk happily on this clean floor, probably that will warm your heart & tiring chores you may dislike can become something you enjoy doing. Again ultimately the choice its yours so it depends on what is the choice you made. Eventhough initially the choice you made is a wrong one however you can still make a few changes or choices to remedy it, Life will be happier. Your Desires may not always concur with your Actions, that is life so unpredictable.

  Hello a_splash,
  
  You can always get another job but of coz practicality which you meant may not be the main component. You can do work that you like but it may not pay well or you can stick to a job you may not like but pay well. Nothing is perfect, imperfection & flaws makes life interesting. As for me i feel whether i like it or not my job , i will still do it if it pay well. Bread is probably one few of the priorities in life, at least its mine!

  How do u know my job is cleaning?? I am hoping to do my cleaning and also to make kopi well so that i can earn some good testimony to apply for a job at the casinos when its open. Like the saying goes : 'hang hang chu zhuan yuan' umm how to translate??
  
  You can choose to do your work with LOVE is what i want to do and that is why i trying to find the way to do just that. Have been in this job since i left school....many many years ago!

  Bread is the main thing leading to me staying put in my line of work. And it was my source of motivation to stay at work.
  
  But it has lost its power liao...not that i no longer needed this bread, but somehow something is wrong somewhere. I have lost control of my work.......
  
  Any magical powder to put my work back on line?? or maybe lead me a touchlight??

  its not that u dun love ur work,its jus u have other unfufilled needs such as security, social, or psychology..when these needs have been fufilled..u will seek to fufill ur personal achievement needs such as work, recognition..etc
