12:13 AM, Tue, 29 Mar 2005, The Earth Move, Is that Tsunami?

Just a moment ago at 12:13 AM, I was sitting infront of my computer when i felt my chair was shaking. I thought maybe i was too tired then i stood up & walked to my Living room, I can feel the floor SHAKING, as if some force working against my feet feeling of unbalance. The Crystal Chandelier on the Living Room ceiling was also shaking so are my fish tanks. Then i saw my glass of Tea also shaking, Was that an Earthquake? Is that a sign of Tsunami? I woke my parent up ask them if they feel its shaking? They were shocked but everything stopped at around 12:16am, It shook for around 3 minutes. Very shocking indeed, this is perhaps the 2nd or 3rd time i experienced this for the past 2 years & followed by it there will be some disaster or calamity that happen in somewhere on Earth which are reported in the News & Media.

AN EARTHQUAKE HAS OCCURRED WITH THESE PRELIMINARY PARAMETERS
ORIGIN TIME - 0154Z 20 MAR 2005
COORDINATES - 34.0 NORTH 130.1 EAST
LOCATION - WESTERN HONSHU JAPAN
MAGNITUDE - 6.7
EVALUATION
THIS EARTHQUAKE IS LOCATED OUTSIDE THE PACIFIC. NO TSUNAMI THREAT
EXISTS TO COASTLINES IN THE PACIFIC.
HOWEVER - EARTHQUAKES OF THIS SIZE SOMETIMES GENERATE LOCAL
TSUNAMIS THAT CAN BE DESTRUCTIVE ALONG COASTS LOCATED WITHIN
A FEW HUNDRED KILOMETERS OF THE EARTHQUAKE EPICENTER. AUTHORITIES
IN THE REGION OF THE EPICENTER SHOULD BE AWARE OF THIS
POSSIBILITY AND TAKE APPROPRIATE ACTION.
THIS CENTER DOES NOT HAVE SEA LEVEL GAUGES OUTSIDE THE PACIFIC
SO WILL NOT BE ABLE TO DETECT OR MEASURE A TSUNAMI IF ONE WAS
GENERATED. AUTHORITIES CAN ASSUME THE DANGER HAS PASSED IF NO
TSUNAMI WAVES ARE OBSERVED NEAR THE EPICENTER WITHIN AN HOUR OF
THE EARTHQUAKE.
THIS WILL BE THE ONLY BULLETIN ISSUED FOR THIS EVENT UNLESS
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION BECOMES AVAILABLE.
THE WEST COAST/ALASKA TSUNAMI WARNING CENTER WILL ISSUE BULLETINS

I was outside leh...didn't feel anytink leh....until my fran told me marine P gt tumors felt....den once I reach hm turn on TV den saw CNA reportin abt earthquake in sumatra!
V ke lian leh..those indo ppl...kena so many zai nan! Hope all is well for dem!

I see maybe the area you are in did not have the tremor but i felt it strongly in North area of the Island.
Yeah our deepest condolences to these poor souls.

i did not feel a thing....was talking to a fren on the phone...this morning saw e post n thought Oceanos was joking till my classmates said e same thing...imagine all e pple running down from their apartments.... that's wat my classmates did anyway..... condolences to the 2000 pple who died in the earthquake....
