Well of coz you can get it as a gift for others, as everyone can wear dZi irregardless of Religions or Cultures as dZi will emit good vibration that is suitable for anyone! What i meant is if you choosing one for yourself, rely on your intuition to find one that calls out to you which you resonate better with irregardless of the cost, anyway believe it or not dZi know how to choose their owner, if you are meant to have it, you will bring it home! Well actually the price don't matters what is important is the dZi that calls out to you, that resonate well with you. As for Higher valued dZi beads is because of its historical & gemological values, Price is the difference between a OLD & NEW beads, They all emit good vibrations & it varies with individuals, It doesn't mean the Higher the Value its better! There some clients who opted to get lower valued beads rather then the higher valued ones as they seems to resonate better with the lower value one.
2 weeks ago, i got a Tarot session with one of my regular oversea client, she wanted something for protection due to the nature of her work & her family situation. She is a practicisng doctor in Bahrain. At first i told her unless she can meet me up again in next few days then i will have some stuffs that are suitable for her as i did not bring anything today. She seems kinda disappointed as she is flying off the very day evening after my consultation. Then as i was packing up my stuff i happen to find some of my dZi beads which is inside & i did'nt know it, probably i left them in there from my previous appointment before my short trip. Maybe she is fated to bring home one of them, as she got to see them by sheer chance & coincidence so i showed her a few of the dZis. Firstly i show her a simple "Heaven & Earth" dZi, then the "2 eyed Tai Ji" followed by "3-eyed" & a special "2-eyed Heaven & Earth" dZi! She was abit loss for choice, she was deciding whether to get the "2-eyed Heaven & Earth" or simple "Heaven & Earth", after much pondering & feeling both dZis, she decided to get the simple "Heaven & Earth" because she feel it calls out to her more. If i were her i would have chose the special "2-eyed Heaven & Earth" as it has a really strong vibration, this dzi was given to a Rinpoche then when he was returning to Tibet, he gave it back to me. Obviously she can easily afford the Special Design OLD dZi which is of a value that is more than 10 times of the simple "Heaven & Earth" however she chose to get the simple one simply because it calls out more to her. So thats why i said when choosing dZi, we should disregard the Value instead use our intuition to feel which is more suitable for us.
A higher valued dZi bead or one with stronger vibration may not be suitable for you however when the one that calls out to you it may be the right one for you! Hope all these answer your queries, thanks for your interest!

Well yeah got to be realistic to a certain extent, spending power varies! That why if you already got a budget in mind its easier as i will be able to show dZi of that price range whether it calls out to you will be another issue. I remember in 1993, I got a strong liking for this particular "3-eyed" dZi owned by a friend however i did not get it because of the price as my finance doesn't permits it. In 1995, i saw this dZi bead again shown to me by another friend, maybe it fated so i decided to get although its still not within what i can afford, in the end i paid few instalments just to pay for the cost of owing it.
