Perhaps Retro is in now, Locally Satanic Cults were very active & popular in the Late 80s & Early 90s although it has been around for a long time globally, again its a personal choice...

If you read the Christian Bible, you'll probably read about 'Giants'. These Giants are actually Titans, or fallen ones from 'Heaven' if you probably indulge in Jewish Bible.
Some of the satanic articles are interesting... especially on the deal between Devil and God. Please note that Hell does not originally belong to Satan. It was God's torture chamber for Satan

I'm not really sure I can put it down to a plain retro kind of thing.
My personal feeling on the 70-80s spat of satanism in Singapore was down to initial worldwide momentum trickling down from Anton LaVey's setting up of the CoS in 1966. They probably had a few 'missionaries' come down here and some people picked up on it.
In short I think it was a fad.
Now, although it does not seem so prevalent in Singapore, it might be this that should be a matter of concern. See, the Satanic Bible doesn't actually say that Satanists should be out and about gaining publicity for no reason.
Their basis has always been about self aggrandizement, promoting and satisfying your own self. So for all we know, the little cultists are now smart enough to keep a low profile and going about their activities as we speak. -

Does anyone have any info to share on this? Right now I'm amused that there is a preconception that you need to believe in aspects of Christianity (and only so) before you can even think about Satanism -

Only Fad can be a Retro kind of thing. Just like Macdonaldisation was a global thing previously but at this present moment do you think its still the same? What i meant was Satanism was Popular & Active Locally in the late 80s & early 90s but none of my words indicated that there are no Satanists around here now who may be watching while we speak.
Underground Groups & Cults are around locally before even we were born but are they spoken of in any ways. There are many Covens Locally but do they last? Underground Group & Cult, a more established one Like The Coven of Cythrawl perhaps you heard of it, their Missionary & High Priest decided to make Singapore their headquarter but not long after due to some unforseen events they withdrawn from here.

The stated information is from the Old Testament found in both Quran, and Christian Bible, and it also has links to Jewish Bible. Catholics used the same bible as Christians... That is 4-related religions. All 4 religions talked about the existence of Satan, and satanic bible is but related to these religions only. The other religions has little or no indication of a fallen angel named Satan/Lucifer. Hmm these 4 religions are interconnected, so its not much of a surprise, but I still notice that the discourse focuses more on the (anti) Christian aspect of Satanism.
The Satanic Bible though, actually takes into account quite a wide range of names of devils and/or devil creatures from a variety of faiths and religions, including Hinduism, Taoism, and even more obscure ones.
The funny thing about the book is that it gathers all these names into a neat, almost logical arrangement as subsumes it all under itself. -

Yeah I agree with you, some parties may well be viewing this thread with some interest without our knowing.
Personally, I doubt a grotto could survive detection and purging in Singapore as we do have an efficient monitoring agencies working in the name of national security.
Maybe thats why the coven u mentioned (never heard, was not in Singapore at the time) had to leave eventually.
Haha but I think we are all aware that a more loosely organised group that acts in very sublime and hard to detect methods could be perpetuating these practices. -

The Chinese vampire was meant to scare away grave robbers. The European Vampire was meant to scare away potential womanizers amongst noble families in Europe. There are indeed people who drink blood, but scaling walls, turning to bats are all rubbish meant to scare women, especially married ones from being led astray by others. The werewolf is a sad case of human borned with more hair.
It's funny if you even explore further. Some of the ghosts, or creatures are meant to keep children at home at night so that they will not become food of wild animals. These are lies made by parents to keep mischievious children from danger. Those sea monsters are even bigger lies to children, to keep them from the waters, the forest monsters from the woods etc.
Like I said any mention of them makes me laugh like crazy since theoretically, they are lies spread by adults to children.
If you want answers to these creatures, seek the religiously educated men from their own fields. They would have some of the answers you never expected. It's funny. -

The coven i mentioned did not last long here however they claimed are originated from a Mother Traditional Lineage of Gardnerian Tradition which started out in the mid 60s with active sub-groups located at different parts of the globe where by now is of a much electic practice. Thats all i know.
Maybe you will be amazed by some really intricated & well organised underground local groups around! Of coz a majority are of the calibre you mentioned however they are not even worth mentioning as any group organisation but maybe more of a study or tutorial group in my perspective.

i actually stumbled onto a webpage of the coven in which they explained to some extent why they left singapore eventually...
you are right, I would be amazed by an organisation that is at the same time loosely connected, but intricately well organised at the same time. However, I have learnt to be suspicious of some of the things i see... -

Well of coz there are some truth in it & some which are not but we leave it to our cognitive process with the benefits of Doubt. The Truth is they are not loosely connected the time they were around & they did caught Attention of other organisations around. Actually the High Priest of that Coven is an acquaintance of mine other than that i shall have no further commentary. However the Intricately Organisations i meant are not of that Particular Coven which is not really considered underground in my perspective judging from the attention they got, maybe thats why they left.
