Terry Brooks Vs David Eddings

They are 2 famous fantasy writers.... -
Not sure if I'd tried Brooks, but I've all of Eddings books. His later works ain't all that bright and simply a rehash of his earlier writings. Redemption of Althalus sucks big time. Currently one new book still at the hardcover stage, wait for the price to drop then I will buy. Hoping for some big time movie company to make Belgariad and Mallorean into a movie.... fat hopes....

Definately Brooks. I know Eddings is big but he just don't appeal to me. Puts me to sleep.

Ok, might be a good time to try Brooks.... still re-reading Dan Brown and Robert Ludlum... buying new books (especially serialised ones) is expensive, and I don't like to rent.

I like Terry Brooks Shannara series, but David Eddings i find i like his Elenium series about the sapphire rose better than the rest of his books and the earlier books are nicer compared to his recent works, while Terry Brooks, his standard have maintained even in his latest series after the Journey of Jerle Shannara, the High Druids series of which i have read the first book.
But I think Raymond E Feist collabration with Janny Wurts for the Empire series: Daughter of the Empire, Servant of the Empire and Mistress of the Empire, is simply the best. Those who like Raymond E Feist books really should try that series, it is a bit harder to find those 3 books in the libraries nowadays. -

I've read Terry Brooks but not David Eddings yet. Terry Brooks novels are nice.
