Today, I am going to introduce to every Forumnites, the making of
Yaki-udon, Japanese style Stir-fried Seafood Noodle ..... Hope everyone will like it....
So get ready your pen and paper...cos we are going to start soon...
Ingredients:
1. 400g dried udon noodles
2. 1 tablespoons oil
3. 75g of bacon, sliced
4. 175g squid, cleaned and sliced
5. 450g large cooked prawns, shelled and deveined
6. 4 spring onions, roughly chopped
7. 225g bean sprouts
8. 15 fresh shiitake mushrooms, sliced
9. 4 teaspoons dried green seaweed, soaked in hot water and drained
10. 4 tablespoons bonito flakes
11. 4 tablespoons Japanese or light soy sauce/or Yaki-soba sauce
12. salt and freshly ground black pepper, to taste
Bring water to the boil, add the noodles and cook for about 8 minutes. Rinse under cold water and drain.
Heat the oil in a wok until you can see smoke coming out form the oil and stir-fry the bacon until they are slightly cooked. Then add the squid and prawns and stir-fry for 2 minutes. Add the spring onions, bean sprouts, mushrooms and seaweed and stir-fry for 2 minutes.
Add the noodles and remaining ingredients and seasonings, and stir-fry for 1 minute. Divide the noodles and seafood among four plates and serve.
