People disappoint

A few things happened lately and it got me feeling rather jaded and disillusioned, perhaps I placed too much hope in everything. What ironical is that it was the same optimism that kept me going, now just about everything feels like a countdown.
I look around me and there're people laughing, I really wonder how people can be so happy. It's a fucking perverse world and I hate to live with my back against the wall all the time; and it really upsets me that I've to smile the same smile as them.
Like what the hell, seriously? Falsehoods are the new truth; wrongs are the new right - 'tis a sick world where villians can be heroes. Haha, does anyone still care for the truth these days? Would anybody still stand for what is right? Frigging thieves and vultures, I'm better off with my back against the wall.
I've been missing a lot of quality time with loved ones and close friends these days, everybody's busy and living their own lives. It upsets me that people I care about are so far and away; while those assholes are more within reach than a snicker bar.
My utmost respect to the fellow whom coined the expression "c'est la vie", damn straight that genius who understood that however distasteful things has become, we just gotta suck it up and keep walking.
