The newspaper & you - sadly is wrong, you are wrongly quoting the normal size tiger prawn price . Yes for normal size type - usually they are $8 to $10 per kg. The live ones are usually $12/kg.
But we are not talking about normal tiger prawns. These are the rare giant size - they are of a price of their own. They are of the giant type - usually 1 is of 200g - 600g - the price is around $18/Kg at the upmarket supermarkets.

Of coz we know that....
but even the bigger one normally weight ard 200g... and rather rare to even reach 400g..
but to be charge $239 for 8 prawn, it mean all 8 prawn served are 400g each... and all 8 rare prawn....
u think that is very likely?
Btw, strait time today quote some1 ordering 3 prawn from same stall but only got charge $42.....

I saw cold storage great world city sell before, really I swear they are farking huge, its scary.
First time I saw them, I asked, are you farking sure they are farking prawns, coz they are farking larger than the farking lobsters on offer. -
