I just recieved this email, have anyone recieve this email?

pls note Dont take cut fruits, bring whole fruit from home or buy whole fruit to eat, its safer. Prevention is better than cure :)
It's in Singapore - Waterloo Street.
A 10 year old boy, had eaten pineapple about 15 days back, and fell sick, from the day he had eaten.
Later when he had his Health check done... doctors diagnosed that he had AIDS. His parents couldn't believe it...Then the entire family under went a checkup... none of them suffered from Aids. So the doctors checked again with the boy if he had eaten out...The boy said 'yes'. He had pineapple that evening. Immediately a group from the hospital went to the pineapple vendor to check. They found the pineapple seller had a cut on his finger while cutting the pineapple; his blood had spread into the fruit. When they had his blood checked...the guy was suffering from AIDS...but he himself was NOT aware. Unfortunately the boy is suffering from it now. Please take care while u eat on the road side and pls fwd this mail to your dear one's.

I do not think it is true but I may be wrong. He could have been infected by HIV but normally AIDS is the advanced stage of HIV infection. It takes time to develop, majority without treat takes 5-10 years, if not 10-15 years....hardly 15 days will not develop AIDS. AIDS is developed because after years of body being attacked by HIV...i do not think u get AIDS by default.

blood, when in contact with air, will not be "active" anymore and thus wun be able to transmit disease to another person who touch it or consume it.
for aids to be transmitted, it has to be a direct transfer and within body temperature.
if no common sense, at least boost up ur GK
and fer the record GK = general knowledge -
ya and normally even if you get infected by HIV, it takes around 6 months for it to show up in the tests cos that when your body start producing antibodies tat shows that you have HIV....

i dont believe i only know AIDS transmit through sexual intercourse, blood transfusion, sharing syringes etc ,, if real news ... sg media sure announce it day and night

however, regardless of Aids - it is probably safer to buy whole fruits to eat as sometimes vendors 'soak' their fruits in sugar water, or don't wash it properly or their knives are dirty.
In a whole fruit, you can wash it yourself more easily, or in cases in oranges, you don't need to worry about hygiene.

So obvious this email is fake lah. This is like one of those countless urban legends and hoax emails out there. Never go to snopes.com before meh? The boy is nameless, doctor nameless, hospital nameless, vendor nameless, whole even is timeless and dateless, etc etc. Lack too much details to be reliable.
Anyway I don't think the AIDS virus can live outside the body in the first place, though i could be wrong.
