hey...i=ve been there once. the first pic have a hill resembing a dragon and on the right side resembing a tiger
there'a also another slope right behind the palace call the black turtle
There was a story about this palace. The King of Cheosen consulted his feng shui masters on the relocation of the capital from PeongYong to Seoul where these palaces were built. This was an ideal location because it had all the 4 saintly creatures surround the palace with the Green Dragon to it's left, the white tiger to the right and the balck turtel to the back of the palace and a long range known as the red pheonix on it's front.
However during the day when the capital was relocated, there was a snow storm with the snow up to ankle deep. The king was puzzle and worried and they summon all the feng shui master to look at it again. Finally one old master told the king that the red pheonix was fly away as the mountain range was drift away from the palace. That was the sign of the downfall of the Cheosen dynasty.
Ha Ha, so much like the korean show on channel U "The Legend"

Did you go there with a tour group? Which one and how many days?
How much do you spend there altogether? I am interested in going to Korea as well, maybe end of this year...

end of the year is winter.. tours in winter will definitely include ski-ing. However, Dec may be slightly early for skiing... If you want to ski, its best to go in Jan.
Yes, I went with SA tours. 8 days..
Jeju, Daejoo, yongpyong, pusan, seoul...
the tour was $1.8k.. (due to the peak period.. may school holidays)
But well, its worth it la. I stay in 5 star hotels all the way.. The food provided is pretty good too.. all korean food. Some tours bring you to eat 1 or 2 authentic korean food then chinese food all the way..
