Death - An afterthought

  No really an afterthought though....cos death is the ending...
  
  from the passing of mid9sun's MIL and ah noah's friend, i was thinking
  
  are u afraid of dying? maybe tis just like a sound sleep..or maybe...
  
  death taught us to treasure what we currently have and what we used to have...to be contented

  I don't think I'll be afraid to die.. I mean, yeah there are still a lot of things that I haven't experienced yet.. but when its time to go, its time eh? Family will be sad I suppose.. friends.. maybe they'll grieve for a while, but they'll move on.. but the other day I don't know why I suddenly thought of how I will die in future..
  
  Is it a painful death? If I get old.. then shall I just take sleeping pills and die in my sleep?

  i have a friend who die in car crash .. so sad for their family ..
  
  so always treasure those around u

  i have seen death....when i was working in hospital as a temp...it was horrible..no...i dunno how to describe the feeling
  
  the patient was still talking and walking one day before...and then...the following day, he was inanimate anymore...

  cos when one is sound asleep, the body is at complete rest...the only diff is that when dead...there is no more breathing

  isn't odd that normally chinese sayings would ask for long life?
  
  what if it is a long life of suffering?
  
  suffering in more means than one, not only physical but mentally.
  
  more often, i see people pray to have a good life of hard work and play until 60s, then please take me away quickly.
  
  they dun want to go thru the portion of sickness, and being unwanted by their kids, as well as worrying about pensions and not being able to enjoy and expensive lifestyle anymore.
