  Gionee Communications Equipment Co, Ltd located out of Shenzhen is a chinese mobile communications manufacture and offices and RD in both Shenzhen and Shanghai. Founded in September of 2002 by Liu Li Rong, the tech company focused on R&D and production of cellular mobile devices and only obtained their GSM and CDMA mobile phone production license in 2005.

  6 years later after obtaining its license, Gionee in 2011, expanded its presence into India, Nigeria, Vietnam, Taiwan, Myanmar, Thailand and  Philippines. Gionee products are currently selling in India, Bangladesh,Pakistan, Indonesia, Vietnam, Thailand, Philippines, Malaysia, Russia, Middle East and Africa, with exports reaching 1 million phones per month for overseas markets

  Gionee was also popular for bringing the worlds slimmest smartphone ELife S5.5 which was only 5.5mm thick to this years mobile world congress held in Spain. It is considered as a good value smartphone. We'll show you some models here.

   

   

  Gionee Dual SIM - X817

   

  

   

  Gionee Dual SIM -x817  is a large smartphone in other cases a phablet with a 5.7 inch display screen size.  It has a white plastic bezel frame on the front and back top and bottom parts of the body. The whole body frame size is 163.5 mm height x 81.3 mm width and thickness of 7.95mm.

  
  It has a built in battery of about 3200mAH which is really great storage for a big phone and also the other good thing about it is it has Dual SIM slot availability suitable for different carriers in regions within Asia.

  The Gionee X317 has a nice camera on the rear of 13 Mega pixels and the front of 5 MP which is quite standard now for many phablet smartphones. The only other exception phablet would be the Lumia 1520 which as a 20MP camera.  

  
  Also the smartphone comes loaded with Android 4.2 Jelly Bean a older version of the Android KitKat and a strong 1.5 GHz Quad core processor. The Gionee smartphone has a good internal memory of 16GB and 1GB Ram which should be quite adequate for using multiple apps and playing games.

  The interface can be easily changed from English to Japanese, Korean, Simplified Chinese but only a few icons will change. The settings menu also will be able to display non-english language.

   

  Antutu benchmark app gave the Gionee X817 a rating of about 3 and total score of 16957. The Gionee X817 although not the highest performance smartphone its up there among the high end smartphones.
