Lin Dan lost the 1st set 16-17, he won the 2nd set 15-3.... n it ends there.... supposed to have a 3rd set one leh........
but by looking at how easily Lin Dan won the 2nd set, i assume his opponent had a walk over, tat's y the game ended........

Xia Xuanze is back
Xia Xuanze defeated Peter Gade in the first semi-final of the Denmark Open 15-12, 15-13, proving he was back at his best level, while compatriot Lin Dan once again enjoyed a walkover from a Dane when Boesen pulled out.
When his compatriots enjoying themselves in Athens, Xia Xuanze did not take a long holiday back in China this summer. He trained to be ready for the beginning of the season, as he had been left out by the Chinese coaches. Accepting his fate with his usual smile, Xia now vows to qualify for next year's World Championships - and with what he showed on court today, it could be very well on the cards.
The 2003 World Champion, as expected, raise his game to a level where Peter Gade had to play 100% to beat him. "I knew it will be difficult against him as he plays really good for the latest stages. He is one of the best Chinese for me, also because he is very reliable and plays so well the important points, and it was a mistake to have kept him at home, but like i say before there are so many good Chinese shuttlers." explained a bitter Petter Gade.
The Danes weren't far from winning both games, but each time, the Chinese was abit stronger. "At one point, I had to see whether i should go for a safe shot or take some risks, but I tried to move him around the courts to provoke errors; but he didn't make any," explained Gade who finally went down 12-15, 13-15.
For Xia the key to the match was elsewhere, "I think Peter played really well and I was just a little more in control at the rear of the court." The Chinese now focuses on his next target: "Since I was able to train this Summer - not as much as before, but still - I hope to be able to qualify for the World Championships next year. It will once again be the coaches decision, but I'll try my best," added Xia.
He will meet Lin Dan in the final of the men's singles event tomorrow, as the top seed and world number one once again was a curse to his Danish opponent: after Kenneth Jonassen retired from an injury after the second game yesterday evening, it was Anders Boesen who had to give up after only few points. The Dane, known for his fighting spirit injuried himself while warming up on court just before the match. After the physio told him that he could still try to play and that the injury wouldn't get worse by playing, the Dane soon realised he just couldn't play anymore and came up to the net at 3-9 to shake Lin Dan's hand, leaving the two singles events with no home interest for the finals on Sunday. -

their scores were pretty close all along.... n Xuanze leads a few times but Lin Dan always catches up n finish the game........
haha i'm glad i survive those heart attacking moments.......
this game is far too exciting n interesting to be missed
