Thanks to the efforts of yours truly, the meet-up was about as organised as an Aussie-rules football match, but TX saved the day and we all got away relatively unscathed. Well, except for Bear who did a great impression of the Incredible Melting Man!
Having tried XO fish soup for the first time, I couldn't offer an opinion on its quality, but I liked it. I do concur with the piakster, though - the chap with the Scotch-Brite wig does have an attitude problem!
Off to Wala Wala, where we always seem to get the same humid corner! Unlike the last time, though, Bear's pants remained dry.
Tha waitress couldn't tell the difference between 10 and 12, so Viper remained drinkless for a while, but after a major conference, his drink was finally served.
Besides that hiccup, everything went pretty smoothly for the rest of the evening, with everyone sweating, drinking and chatting. I do hope a good time was had by one and all!
enjoyed it pretty much ... me gazz if every outing is that humid, then MTY outings can also double up as weight loss outings ...
As for the XO fish ... think they cld've done better ... the fishmeat were to damn chunky and coarse ... me shld've ordered the San Lou Hor Fun instread... -
Ah, we now have designated roles: I pick things to pieces and TX picks up the pieces!
Oh yeah, I forgot to mention in my account that Aulf and I discovered that we were in the same Physics lecture group in JC, with a lecturer who babbled about Tiananmen Square for half of each lecture! -
