The first photo is taken at Singapore Post Centre, with Paya Lebar MRT station in the background.
For the 2nd and 3rd photos, I'm still figuring out the (same) location, I believed it's somewhere in the north. (I need a hint)

oh u got it liow! hahah. .there i was scratching my head to give u the clue.. that's why take so long.Originally posted by tranquilice:I got it, the 2nd and 3rd photos are the same place. It's a bus-stop along PIE (Jalan Toa Payoh). The trans-island bus (2nd photo) is service 989 while the SBS Transit bus (3rd photo) is service 105.
I have the answer already (replied at 6.01am)Originally posted by jOhO:ehhee.. hmm north ar... can consider north lar.. well that area's nearest mrt is on the north line, so ok.. north.

It's near the bus interchange that has busses 28, 143 and 105.
actually that's a HUGE clue... go www.transitlink.com.sg can find out liow ahhahah
yeah man cool i'll try, at least now i have a "reason" for shooting busses, cabs, mrts, and mrt stations.Originally posted by tranquilice:Thank you jOhO. If possible, please post more photos of Singapore public buses and MRT trains/stations.
heh this could be fun... i post pic, u guess.Originally posted by tranquilice:I have the answer already (replied at 6.01am)
My clue to the answer is the bus number (which is quite blur, but I managed to see 98x on the 2nd photo) and service number "plates" on the bus-stop pole. If you want to know all the numbers displayed on the pole (except the white one), I can tell you.Originally posted by jOhO:oh u got it liow! hahah. .there i was scratching my head to give u the clue.. that's why take so long.
service number plates? as in the red plates that tells u which busses come by? hehe no need i take bus from there sometimes! eheh i live in tpy lor 1, just next to CHIJ.Originally posted by tranquilice:My clue to the answer is the bus number (which is quite blur, but I managed to see 98x on the 2nd photo) and service number "plates" on the bus-stop pole. My recommendations:Originally posted by jOhO:yeah man cool i'll try, at least now i have a "reason" for shooting busses, cabs, mrts, and mrt stations.
i guess even bus interchanges and different bus stop designs?
whoa.. ok lots to do lots to do! ehehOriginally posted by tranquilice:My recommendations:
MRT stations: Expo (spaceship design), Changi Airport (with flight arrival and departure display, spacious station), Dover, any North-East line station.
Bus interchange: Toa Payoh!
Buses: Air-con double deckers and articulated (bendy) buses.
Bus-stop ID are displayed on the pole itself (except those mainly in town where poles are not used). The white "plate" is used for private buses (with red and blue coloured number), which I have little knowledge of.Originally posted by jOhO:service number plates? as in the red plates that tells u which busses come by? hehe no need i take bus from there sometimes! eheh i live in tpy lor 1, just next to CHIJ.
the white one is meant to be the bustop ID or something rite?
i see... hmm not like me to notice these things.Originally posted by tranquilice:Bus-stop ID are displayed on the pole itself (except those mainly in town where poles are not used). The white "plate" is used for private buses (with red and blue coloured number), which I have little knowledge of.
Expo station is unique from others in that it has no pillar on the platform, the pillar to support the roof is at the outer side next to the track. There's also a round roof which looks sort of a spaceship.Originally posted by jOhO:whoa.. ok lots to do lots to do! eheh
yeah dover mrt is nice but haven't seen expo and changi airport ones. and tpy bus interchange i SIAN liow ahhah EVERYDAY go there.. but nvm can take for everyone to enjoy.
Yes, something go to outdoor places, the weather is very hot, when going back I will take air-con bus and make sure I adjust the air-con vents to myself and enjoy the cool journey. But some drivers just purposely don't adjust the air-con to a lower temperature on a hot day.Originally posted by jOhO:i see... hmm not like me to notice these things.
i'm sure u know most of us just get on the damn bus and point the aircon vents at ourselves!
time to educate myself...
