Increase of Movie Ticket Price

  From Sunday 01 May 2005, movie ticket prices of Shaw, Eng Wah and Golden Village will be increased as follows:
  
  Monday - Wednesday
  
  $6.50 $7.00
  
  Thursday
  
  $7.50 $8.00
  
  Friday before 5pm, eve of public holiday before 5pm
  
  $7.50 $8.00
  
  Friday after 5pm, eve of public holiday after 5pm
  
  $8.50 $9.50
  
  Saturday, Sunday and public holiday
  
  $8.50 $9.50
  
  If eve of public holiday falls on Saturday or Sunday, the price will be $9.50 the whole day.
  
  Cathay cinemas (Orchard and Causeway Point) are excluded from the price increase, but there is plan to increase in the near future.

  no wonder ppl prefer to buy pirated dvds instead...
