  Actually I'd think knee length, below knee, and long would look nice. Look for body skimming stuff... some people look nice in A line .

  Normally i will wear 1 pc dress either kneel length or long..... wif heels n small handbag lah. Dat will look more classy..... but i dunno ur location. i will look terrible in skirts n tops.

  Don't worry I'm equally bad. I can trip over my own feet. Heels is just a matter of getting used to them. I guess I wear them often enough coz I'm short

  Mebbe cos knee length , together with a top, breaks your body into 2 equal-length portions. So don't look flattering
  
  You can try below knee, calf length... in a slim-cut, slinky material. Should elongate your body.

  as a guy, i would say, unless u can outdress the bride, then dun bother, just watever that looks presentable is good.
  
  as a photographer, just dun wear white or black. in photos white will blow out, and black will lose details.. (why do u think it's so tough sometimes to shoot a groom in all black and a bride in all white.. TOGETHER!)
