I live in Colombo, Sri Lanka and have been visiting Singapore regularly (sometimes thrice a year) since I was very little. In 2007, I went on a bit of a gunpla-binge and picked up a few kits...
I went back to London later that year for my Masters and only had time once I got back home to start. Yes, it was much torture just having them in boxes all this time!
Over the past few months I've been a little busy and finished my first gunpla, as well as my first project of a PG accessory :D
You can follow all my gunpla project-logs on my blog or here's some detail on the progress I've made. The first kit I made about a month or two back is this RX-78 OYW. Was more or less doing it the easy way without any priming, and I must say that 'sumi ire' gave me some trouble, and do not like how it looks afterwards. The GM01 and 02 pens create lines that are far too hard and look bit fake.
Last weekend, I moved onto making the Aile Striker jetpack.
I was in Singapore again about two weeks back and pick up this PG Astray Red Frame Special. I'm keeping this for last, probably - well, I'll have to decide between this and the GP01/Fb.
Since I have two PG Strike kits (one is the Strike Rouge) and two MG kits left, there is enough leeway for me to try different things and get my technique perfected.
I've just started to play with my airbrush as right now I'm mainly sticking to the spray cans and top-coating. Should be interesting to see how much more control the airbrush will give me.
Looking forward to constructive criticism and much advice :) :)
Thanks!
Mike.
Whoa, that's a lot! Looking forward to see your completed Astray. =)
Btw, why is your RX-78's face black? And you site is down.
