Yomiuri Online has a pic of the bronze Gundam statue to be unveiled at the Seibu Shinjuku line's Kamiigusa train station in a ceremony on March 23. Seibujin's Railroad Chronicle also has pics of the Gundam headmark that began being used on one of the area's trains on the 15th.

Gundam train station monument unveiled
TBS News has video of the unveiling of the Gundam monument today at the Kamiigusa train station. The 3-meter tall statue took 2 years to create at a cost of 20 million yen, 2 million of that figure from government subsidies. Including Sunrise, the Suginami Ward of Tokyo in which the train station resides is home to more than 70 animation studios.
