I learnt a vauble lesson today on spraying

  i got a can of Mr hobby semi-gloss spray not long ago and tried spraying on my MG F91. the effect was nice and i liked it.
  
  today is my 2nd attempt at spraying on my MG Destiny. actually yesterday i already sprayed 1 time. the result was good enough.
  
  but i guess i got carried away and resprayed the base again today as i find that i might have missed some parts. turns out the result was disastrous! some parts are over-sprayed and are left with unsightly white patches and uneven texture.
  
  so the lesson i learnt today was never ever over spray! control is very important if not u will end up like me. luckily it's only the base, the rest of the parts are ok as i didn't respray them today.
  
  the whole can of semi-gloss got used up totally today as well. probably the result of over spraying since i only sprayed on 2 kits.
  
  gonna be more careful on my next can of spray.

  sounds like yr spraying too close to d object. tts how u get the white spots.
  
  best to use long strokes and at least 6 inches away from the item. start yr spray away from the object them in a single stroke move over the item and end away from the item. this will prevent uneven paint splatter.

  i think toy r us got sell cheap cheap airbrush. $29.90, with one can on compressor air

  Can of compressed air finishes very fast.
  i suggest.
  if u are really into this hobby.
  invest in a good airbrush and a generator.
  its saves money.
  and it produces good results.
  
  i dun model gundams but my friends all do that.

  yes i understand that. the first time i tried spraying i learnt that never to spray too close.
  
  guess that is the case yesterday as i was spraying at night. couldn't really see the spray well due to lack of light.

  i finally understood what went wrong. it's the temperature. we should never ever spray at night (which i did last night) as it will leave white patches all over the model due to the coolness.

  few things to note:
  
  the dist >>further away = more even spreading
  
  your gundam if it's made up of many parts then you should take them out part by part and spray other wise it will be uneven

  that's what i did. i spray them while the parts are still in the runners.
