Famitsu.com posted a bit on G Generation Spirits. Besides the visually upscaled units, it mentions its possible to use a maximum of 12 units at the same time in combat (8 offensively, 4 for counterattacks), making for large scale fights.

SD Gundam G Gen Spirits OP & ED themes
Famitsu also announced that the opening and ending theme songs for SD Gundam G Generation Spirits will be sung by Hiroko Moriguchi, of Zeta Gundam and Gundam F91 fame.
Also mentioned was the game's conversation scenes will feature full voice, with more than 50,000 newly recorded words.

G Gen Spirits train promotion
Game Watch covers some of the promotional blitz for G Generation Spirits. Starting from the 24th, JR East's Yamanote line, one of the busiest in Tokyo, began featuring posters for the game on the outside of the train. The ads will be up for about one month.

Oricon has Hiroko Moriguchi's "Mou Hitotsu No Mirai ~starry spirits~", SD Gundam G Generation Spirits' theme song, as #23 on the weekly singles chart with sales of 6,000 copies. This is her first top 30 song since 1995's "Anata To Ita Jikan".
