Outdating the Strike.

There are many models related, or rather, of, the Strike Gundam (GAT-X105 as base, plus other variants). There are the HG 1/144 and 1/100, Aile Strike, Sword Strike, Launcher Strike (is there? I not sure), Strike Rouge plus IWSP(1/144), Strike Noir(1/144), MG 1/100, Aile Strike and Strike Rouge, 1/60 Perfect Grade, Strike Gundam, 1/60 Real Detail, Striker Weapon System, inclusive of the Strike itself.
To me, the Strike is outdated too soon, as in when the Second Bloody Valentine War popped out and Kira uses the Strike Rouge to defend the Eternal, even with the MS configured to Kira's preference, it is still damaged badly. What is the connection between this fast-outdating machine and so many models produced for it?
The Strike definitely is not weak against the new models, as I talk on the mechanical side, the weapons are strong enough to hold on a battle.
Personally, I know MuLaFlaga has deep faith in the Strike, but with the director outdating this wonderful MS so early, is there not something wrong?
Your thoughts please, especially if you are fond of the Strike. -
actually Akatsuki is base on strike as a base. I personnally like Strike also due to its versertility but i find Outframe is more versertile than strike/impulse. -

The Sword pack installed on the Skygrasper does make it vunerable to attacks, and hence not a good option afterall. As in the anime, the Strike would normally use the Aile pack, another Skygrasper uses the Launcher, and the last Skygrasper uses Sword pack.
Would not it be great if we do have such systems in the real world, eh? Singapore has the money and expertise, we can try to make mobile suits, heehee... -

impulse actually corrected the flaw of strike in terms of versertility .... -

After looking at the Strike mounted with the IWSP, it just looks so cool!
Plus, the thrusters on the IWSP makes the Strike look cool and 'owning' as when it was launched in SEED, with the 'humble' Aile Striker.
Erm, can tip me, which show is the Strike+IWSP depicted? 'Cos its not shown in Seed/Seed Destiny nor in Stargazer as I know of.
Plus, is the unit destroyed at the end of the story, or left aside/broken up? -

Between the First and Second Wars, the Earth Alliance obtains a IWSP and upgrades it, mounting it a what appeared to be a second GAT-X105 Strike unit. This IWSP (or possibly the same one for the Strike Rouge) is later mounted on Waid Rabby Nadaga's Slaughter Dagger.

AQM/E-X09S Noir Striker: Designed for the GAT-X105E Strike Noir. The Noir Striker is conceptually similar to the IWSP in that it combines the primary capabilities of the Aile, Sword and Launcher strikers. It is a flight pack mounting two anti-ship beam swords, two railguns, and a rocket anchor.

P202-QX IWSP Integrated Weapons Striker Pack: The IWSP was a PMP (Propulsion and Machinery Progess) design to combine the primary characteristics of the Aile, Sword and Launcher Striker Packs into a single unit. model kits sure can come out with alot more to milk collectors of their money
just by that can come up with another 1000 varients
or additional custom weapons kit
and all that
but if its for the anime time line
then its a different story
but nevertheless its still 3 stratagy
close range ( sword ), long range ( big beam hyper cannon ), speed ( booster packs )
is there any other areas ? personally i like agile and stealth version types
or the over gunned typed -
For Gundam, there isn't really any skill, I would say. If you watched Seed, when Archangel landed in the desert and Andrew Waltfield attacked them in the night, the Strike with Kira also encountered problems with balancing on the sand. Stealth, the GAT-X207 Blitz (not my favourite though), but it still got destroyed when the Strike attempted to slice it as it tried to stop Athrun and Kira fighting, killing Nicol Amalfi in the worst way...
Agile, well, Strike was very agile when it first rollout (watch it fight the ZGMF-1017 Ginn with only Armor Schneiders). That was the best battle yet. And with the Aile Striker, its possibilities are very unlimited.
However, as time passes, the most agile Gundam had moved to Destiny, which also have 'Wings of Light' technology.
So, its really a great world of Gundam out there! -
erm the balancing in sand act plus others its just kira adapting to the MS plus he adpated quite fast n well
and i think strike noir is a nice upgrade of the strike -

Looking at my new MG Strike Rouge, the Strike have just very good design and many other 'good' features.
Wait for the IWSP Strike, and photos will be up with Strike Rouge IWSP. Cheers! -

With the Strike and reactor pack, it would mean very heavy weight for the already heavy MS. The basic weight is 64.8 tons. If the compact reactor plus aile strike pack would mean around 40 tons of additional weight, totalling 104.8 tons.Originally posted by molgax:hmm

Something like the Duel Assault Shrould, which is a heavy 103.47 tons.
I would not want a heavy Strike with more agility than a lighter one with less range. If the Strike is used in conjuction with the -X10A Freedom and -X09A Justice, then it would be more attacking capabilities. -
Strike is meant to be all rounder MS and needed to change packs as and when the situation arises....but if got anti-beam coating ability like Akatsuki would help a lot better than Nuclear reactor....

Huh? Gundam SEED related...? Ok... I like Strike compared to Freedom or any of those uber duoer mobile suits.
Coz of its versatility and simpleness, I find it better than those hi end stuffs. Of course there is the Impulse Gundam......
But My fave is still da Nu Gundam series...

what would i do with all the spares ?
