Gundam Fall 2007?
Moonphase reports a new Gundam series is under consideration for Oct 2007 directed by Seiji Mizushima, director of Full Metal Alchemist. If true, it will occupy the Saturday 6pm slot on TBS. Currently Blood+ occupies this slot with Aykashi Ayashi taking over this Fall. This info is based on leaked internal source so take it with grain of salt.

The ideas already died when they ended the "Newtype" boom. The idea "SEED" was a good idea too but the WHOLE plot just falls short of the idea...

Yeap, but I even think that SEED itself is not that refreshing as I though it was supposed to be. Kinda like Mobile Suit Gundam. Many argued that "SEED" is better than "Newtype"... but I think its just two seperate identities. Many oso compare Kira with Amuro... Eh... I do not think there is a need. Both are different. Abilities wise I oso no comments... Its just killing, killing and more killing.
The Gundam Wing franchise was pretty good, considering I dun really like it much. No to God Gundam and Gundam X for me though... I know many loved God Gundam but its not my cup of tea, I only like the concept of using "love" to conquer all.
Hope they have BETTER ideas... -

Getting new ideas maybe harder than it sounds... Gundam is limited by its genre (mobile suit fighting)... What else can you use it for other than war or competition...

Ya true guys... Haiz... Dunno what else can come up... we know its limited by Suit fighting, but the story can at least get some uping in the broader sense of idealism and realism AND better character development...
The Gundam (General Unilateral Nucleared Drive Autonomous Mobile?) acronym is good and the Strike concept and others are very good indeed.
Its just that the common Japanese story mainly revolves around character issues and struggles. A bit too much and too one direction in it. I have noted it in MANY Japanese animes and comics, even dramas! -

Last but not least, there is always someone taking the back seat and pulling the strings, orchestrating the whole damn show -

even in UC this happens too mah... amuro has his gundam or white doll pimped with magnetic coating on joints and he is suposed to get the gundam alex... but sigh.. and how cna we forget abt his nu gundam!!
