Well ..... some of our fellow team mates are really tied up with their work or something, maybe the passion of the game has died.. or some are hit with injuries..
They are still our friends even if it is a kickabout we still hope you can come down to join us but if you have something on that day, just inform the person in charge with a simple reason. Commitment is one thing but if you opt out due to personal reasons and would only like to come down occasionally I believe all will welcome you with open arms!
I hope all of us can understand it is hell of a drag job to sms 20 over pple week in week out to organise the games
I believe you guys started out this team as friends, however, due to the some visible and invisible factors as follows the team spirit is not as strong as before...
1) Many of us were students and still had the fitness, those guys working tend to have heavy workload as they move up in their career path.
Not much pple has the discipline to keep themselves in shape ( me included)
Thus we play like fug on some...ok most sundays...
BUT...no excuses,I have started training again jog abit gym a abit.
2)We are losing a wee bit too much... common we are guys... born comlete with bloody egos and all.. we hate to lose lah.. and get our act together man....
3)And when we lose we have many things to say that is human nature... happy sunday becomes moody sunday, lousy monday, and so on..
4)Now on the more sensitive part... well i guys we know that some guys are not playing as well or running as fast... shoutings on the pitch... pointing fingers... well i feel its part of the game... we are here to play soccer.. if i do a mistake i think it would be better if you guys luff at me saying how cock i look rather than screaming at the poor bugger.
In some case.. i would say if we help out our team mates by chasing, if possible winning the ball back and passing it back to them will boost their confidence , if not at least make him feel that he should do the same for you the next time you lose the ball. one good deed leads to another you know
I would say we know how good or how lousy each player is by now week in week out you cant expect the player to change over night.. secretly juggling in the field every nite and practising soccer every day at basket ball courts on happen when we are young secondary school chaps.. or in some jap comic books.. we can only hope that with matches every week our fitness improves
OK after i Lo so for soo long I would also like to welcome the new players and hope that no matter we win or lose we will keep that smile on our face.
for those who know.. just like the Hwa Chong soccer days....
