contrary to belief, this just numbs the pain as it overwhelms the senses...
it will not make it better..
in fact, it will only make it worse as the salt we use is not pure sodium chloride.. there are impurities in it which dehydrates...
use stuff like Bonjela or that weird watermelon powder they sell in the medical shops
a quick search came up with this:
Mouth ulcers can be caused by many things, including infection, nutrient deficiency (especially of zinc, iron, folic acid, vitamin B12, and other B vitamins).
1. Rinse with salt water. Dissolve 1/2 teaspoon sea salt in 1/2 cup warm water. Swish it around in your mouth for a minute and spit; repeat several times a day.
2. Suck on licorice lozenges. Deglycyrrhizinated licorice helps to heal mouth ulcers by stimulating the regeneration of healthy mucous membranes. You could also try sucking on zinc lozenges.
3. Avoid common triggers. The usual suspects are highly acidic foods, such as citrus fruit, tomatoes, pineapple, and vinegar, but plenty of others can also cause mouth ulcers. If you're not sure, keep a food diary for a few weeks and see if you can identify what is setting off your outbreaks.
4. Take vitamins. It is always best to get your vitamins from a nutrient-rich diet. However, if you suspect that you're not getting all the nutrients you need from diet alone, take a high-potency multivitamin daily.
do take care
