Firstly, I hope your results can bring you to either place
Then you can choose to attend a junior college for the first three months, see whether you like it or not, then decide... 
Secondly... do you know what you want to study in a polytechnic? Are you sure of that choice?
You must understand that once you make a choice, there is no turning back... If you decide to switch halfway, it will only be a waste of time.
JC life requires alot of discipline and constant revision and independency in learning. Do you think you are capable of that? It is a common misconception that JC life is all about fun and partying. And even if there IS fun and partying, it only happens when you're in Year One. Once you get to Year Two, there's absolutely no time to waste idling around in indulgences.
Polytechnic I'm not very sure. Maybe some other forumites might wanna comment. -

Ask yourself what kind of course u want to take and what academic environment do u really like? I cant say which is good or bad...to each its best. i am think ing of doing business.. but JC dun have that... however CI n poly does.. -

You remind me of myself. I couldn't decide where to go also. Wanted to enrol in a poly but I didn't know what to study, so I thought I'd go to a JC and then decide during my two years there.
During my two years, I still couldn't make up my mind about what to study in future. It was difficult to study and I hated doing it because I didn't know why and what I was doing it for. As a result, my grades slipped like crazy.
Now that I know what i really want, I find that I've been working alot harder at improving my grades and I actually find some enjoyment in studying -

Language boh hoh cannot go Arts faculty in JC because most of your exams will have to write essays. If your language is not good, you'll suffer alot and you'll need to work very very hard at it. The subject combination I'm taking now requires me to write 16 essays for every exam Writing speed is also an important thing.. you need to be fast in both your writing, your analysis of the question, and your response. -

if at this moment, you are not sure where you want to go.. i'd advice you to go the JC path.. so that during the two years you are there, you can continue thinking about your future..
choose the poly path if and only if you are very sure of your interest.. many ppl go poly just to back out after a year..
there's no right nor wrong path to choose.. eventually it takes time to know what your interest lie.. you still have to work hard and achieve your goals..
i'm sure there are both poly and jc friends in the forum.. asks around about courses or JC curriculum.. see what attracts you more -

if not rather get a more practical discipline in the form of a diploma (from poly). -

get teh results first.. all other are secondary at the moment -

BA the only course in poly that doesnt have language in poly is unfornunately my....ENGINEERING.Fail english also can go
The course with the heavest use of language in Poly is ofcause Business and Accounting.You'll get a presentation almost every month.Not to mention the insanely low entry point of 10-14!!!
If you are undecided i suggest taking JC....most people who have no aim in life yet end up there...Could try talking to some business students around here though....ask them how it's like...... -
In poly u have more hands-on experience, which will be helpful in ur future working life... n probably more freedom... dun want to go to lesson ask ur friends to scan card for u...
In JC if ur results allowed can straight go to U which is better than poly students... -
it is good if u can make in the 1st 3 mth JC cse. There, u can learn alot n consider whether JC life is suitable for u. Grab the opportunity to study for the 1st 3 mth cse. Tat time if not for my L1R5 > 20, I will surely for it.
U muz plan ur future. Personally I feel if u have wat it takes to go JC, GO FOR IT. Ask ur senior who went JC abt their views. I am afraid I can't tell u much rgding JC life.
Poly campus is rather carefree (esp 1st yr)
If u r worried of the GP paper, perhaps poly is better for u. Find out which cse interest u. Many ppl go wif the more popular, onli to find out they can't cope. Result ==> drop out/re-module. No matter what u do, always make sure it interested u tat u wun mind burning hrs of midnight oils on it.
