If there should be someone who are willing to sponser you to open a shop, what would be the best business/sales to do??

what are you good at.. that's important...
then do a market survey to see which types of businesses are working and what aren't, then see if there are market opportunities...
also check for location of shop.. no point being 1 of about 5 in a small location..
hopefully, you can identify some niche no one has seen before and start.. remember.. this is singapore.. if have to, sell the whole lot for a profit before everyone comes to compete away all your profit margin and you sink in the competition.. look at the bubble-tea bubble...

A niche is very important.
Things that got to do with lifestyles seems to make good money. But then, skill is required in that area, not to mention talent. -
niche... extremely impt... can't go ard selling things ppl have sold...
but with sg's no trademark rule... u start something, very soon... it will have many similar shops ard...
unless u can be smart to register ur business overseas (USA) then come back to sg, no one can copy....
but... overall..... i dun think F&B will be able to hold out.. for F&B, u have to really be good, then customers will come back all the time... that's the thing wif F&B, rely heavily on goodwill....
novelty shops... very novel, after that, it's juz another "gift shop"
necessities.... another mama shop?? dun be like $1.99 can liaoz, choose all the wrong places to put the shop....(and like above, many shops copy $1.99 liaoz, at $1 even...)

just dun go into accessories line.... i have my own "business"...actually a small flea mart stall in clarke quay on weekends n business has been real poor.... starting was like very good but after some time....pple copy us n there was competition of prices.... now it's not making much.....
