i remembered i bought a ring for my ex-gf on our 6th month anniversary.
the look on her face was PRICELESS.. i was so "shocked" at how happy she was. and when i saw her so happy, i was totally melted too, and shared her joy fully.
it's is such a joy to give to and to make the ones u love happy. almost nothing in this world beats it.

yeah okok jokes aside, it is a very big thing, but i believe (maybe ideally) when the question is popped, both parties already know they wanna be together for the rest of their lives, it's just a matter of "formalising" it.
cos i mean, wat if a guy proposes to his gf thinking that she'll definitely say yes (i dun presume a guy will propose without having that confidence first) and she ends up saying no? i mean that would be a severe strain on the reln...
