Games (video, computer and mobile) are something people would hate to give up. According to Newzoo, Gaming will hit $91.5 billion this year. How much would it take for you give up your favorite game for an entire year?
Leading mobile casino, LeoVegas.com, conducted an independent survey to investigate how much people would have to be paid in order to give up some of their most prized possessions.
mobile phone : Over a third (34%) of Brits say they wouldn’t give up their mobile phone for a year for anything less than ï¿¡50,000
lovers: over 33% of Brits said they'd agree to give up their loved one less than ï¿¡50,000. Of that 33 per cent, 14 per cent said it would take just ï¿¡500 to dump their partner for 365 days, with no guarantee of getting them back after being spurned.
pets: pets are amongst the most precious possessions, with nearly 1 in 4 of British adults (24 per cent) saying they couldn’t go without seeing their furry friend for a year unless they were paid at least ï¿¡500,000.
games: Over 1 in 5 of us (21%) would have to be paid over ï¿¡50,000 to go without them for a year.

Guess it depend on how addictive and time/effort spent on the game. For me I do take 5000 dollar to quit current game playing. I did saw some hardcore gamer which spent dozen thousands on game though.

i guess the amount how much someone would say also depends on how much they earn or how much they value money and maybe some other factors. $50,000 sounds good to me

1 million? Your are talking about SGD right? USD or Euro, even better!
There was a time that I'd say no way I'm gonna give up playing WoW no matter how much you pay me... but now that I'm (slightly) older, with more "responsibilities", I'd say yes. I can do alot with S$1m. Actually I would take S$5k even, if it were offered to me, to ditch my favorite game for a year.
That doesn't mean I can't play other games, right? -
