some people like me buy PS2 is that we want to play certain PS2 games mah.
of course PS3 and PSP can also play PS2 games, but expensive.
the problem with the mod or un-modded thing is that nowadays, pirated games very hard to find (non-existent in Singapore). so if i buy a modded PS2 and can't find the pirated games i want, then for fark?! :-D
haha true. but i thought simlim there still quite rampant? only they sell the games under the table la, not so openly. if not, our neighbouring asean countries are your friends

I think can use adapter to use ps2 controllers....but I tried using keyboard and mouse.
I only try it out.....not a game crazed fan.

You can connect your computer HDMI video card to output to the HDMI port in your big screen tv 50"+++ Plasma/LCD.And render the PCSX2 in 1920x1080 resolution.
Not even your PS2 can project your game in that resolution and display it onto your big screen tv.
Big enough for you I hope.
PCSX2.. sounds interesting.. can it run on a core 2 duo laptop with intel gma x3100 gfx?

Why don't you go and try it out?
I know many Singaporeans are afraid to do many things without even taking the courage to try it out.
But I think you should be better than them.
Start trying and start living!
thanks all! anyway, singapore now cannot find any pirated software or games liao!
pirated DVD / VCD, maybe. But pirated MS Windows or pirated Final Fantasy XII are just impossible to find. Actually, i know 1 place that got sell pirated games lah, but their selection is so pathetic that i might as well don't buy.
i heard m'sia got a lot, and free delivery also! maybe i'm going there to see.
most important is still PS2 console. I'm looking for a cheap, used one everywhere, so if anyone has any lobang, pls let me know. Like maybe friends selling etc.
ask me la ask me la!
ok la me not very pro but can answer some questions
PS2 uses memory card only, standard is 8MB, i never hear of 4MB ones.. can save a number of games wor. So you get one first, not enough then get another one.
My PS2 mod liao still can play original and pirated.... depends on your mod chips i think. Got region de.... but mostly can play de la.
PS2 is worth to get.... so go get it.

I tell you, cannot run or will lag like shit. My Quad Core system still have abit of lag when playing, much less a C2D lappie with X3100 graphics.
As for the topic, yes, the older PS2s do have a port or space to put a HDD. Games like FF do require the HDD. Slim PS2, no space.

does PS2 have a hard disk drive built inside it? or is it like PS1, whereby it relies on an external memory card to save games?
i know PS3, xBox and xBox 360 have large hard disks built inside them, but PS2?
i'm buying a PS2 and the guy says he's not sure if got hard disk drive inside, only that he got 4 MB memory card to save games onto (btw, 4 MB is very small!!!)
thanks!
nikar
