SBST Press Release: Hougang South Bus Service Amendment

1. Service 328 will be extended to Serangoon interchange and re-numbered service 101. Service 101 will operate between Serangoon interchange and Buangkok Crescent (loop)

2. Services 51 and 151 will terminate at Hougang Central interchange.

3. Services 321 and 326 will be merged to become service 113. Service 113 will operate between Hougang Central interchange and Hougang St 11 (loop).

4. Services 322 and 327 will be merged to become service 112. Service 112 will operate between Hougang Central interchange and Hougang St 92 (loop). Service 132 will terminate at Hougang Central interchange.

Fine...I accept the facts that 51, 132, and 151 are going to Hougang Central Interchange...was actually hoping one of these services would terminate at Serangoon...but anyway which as well...otherwise end up with duplication from Serangoon MRT to Kovan Mrt
Svc 113 is an utter waste of resources though...since with Svc 62 plying...i mean...juz extend 62...stop at Kovan station...turn into Street 21 and carry on the route lar...however...if there's a necessity to connect Street 11...just extend 119...instead of having some Svc 113...wasting resources...
There's Svc 112...sounds very Townlink...except it charges trunk service fares :p
Svc 101...there's duplication with Svc 107, Svc 153 from Serangoon MRT to Hougang Central MRT...again wasting resources...but i guess it's rationale to go HGC Mrt..to pick up passengers unto Buangkok...i mean...it's better tat 315 and 318 merge and have super long route from Serangoon to Hougang St 21...but i guess Serangoon North residents would complain...hehheh
Anyway since it's finalised...can't do anything...so oh well. -
Seems like service 51 will now have have about 44/45 (to and from HGC) fare stages if were to follow the precedents set by services 25, 72 (excluding the stop outside HGC Int) and 153.

Hougang Central interchange will be very packed with the addition of 5 services (ie. 51, 112, 113, 132 and 151)

101 will be an AMDEP service. Scanias in HG, mmm nice. Will be looking forward to get guides of 51, 132 and 151, and also the new services.

Is there is service 318? I thought it was withdrawn long ago.

I remembered seeing 318 at SGN at berth with a sticker pasted over it. Serangoon - Serangoon Garden Way. I think it merged with 315 later on.
PS: Serangoon Garden Way only and not like 317 serving the entire estate. -

As for NAC buses, you think SBS will "mistreat" its favourite area with a PAC trunk service? Look at 82 now, demand is not even enough high between Sgn and Hgn, but I'm not sure at SKG, so I'm not jumping to conclusion yet.

The integration of:
svc 321 & 326= Townlink 321
svc 322 & 327= Townlink 327
Hope SBS Transit would consider townlink svc instead of 112 &113.
Extend 132 to Serangoon to cover up part of svc 328 route.That means there is not a need to have svc101 and 328 to be in Hougang Central interchange. -
Sadly the diversion of 132 to HG Central means that there will be no direct links from AMK and Serangoon North to Hougang South and I guess few would bother to take the trouble to change to either 82, 107, 112 or 113 along Hougang Ave 2 (after HG stadium).

Service 112A (short-working trip) will ply from Hougang Central interchange to Upper Serangoon Rd (Kovan station) between 12mn and 12.30am daily.
Service 119 will calls at bus stops along Hougang St 21.
Services at respective berths at Hougang Central interchange from tomorrow:
Berth 1: 74, 112, 147
Berth 2: 89, 113, 325
Berth 3: 27, 161
Berth 4: 107, 153
Berth 5: 132, 165
Berth 6: 51, 151 -
In fact on 51, 132, 151
There was a notice at the exit saying "This bus will not call Hougang Sth Int as of 15 Feb 2004" in both Eng and Chinese -
