testing the new display. but LCD monitor on the bus. humm LTA have alot of money to spend. one screen cost about few 100 to 1000 to replace when spoiled or broken.
Maybe as well use back to very old way by painting the sign and create employment for jobless people.

They were not put to any use, same goes to auto ramp. You guys may have seen the same SOP for manual ramp follows for auto ramp, the driver still has to go to the rear despite the ability to deploy the ramp from console.
The colour EDS could have been well used if LTA decided to diversify and remodel the bus numbering system to be more dynamic, saving the need for unnecessary affixes. In fact, it could already be well used in cases such as the G/W plate.
The auto ramp ah, ya it rly is bloody useless ah.. higher maintenance costs, easier to break down and slower deployment... and offers no exclusive benefit..
Also those young officers and managment better think properly before come all kind of stupid ideas and waste tax payers money. a simple painted sign will do no need to be so much style and show off. Give those extra money to poor and enploy them to be painter
That’s why i urged local young BCs to upgrade themselves. Now they got autonomous buses for internal shuttle,Tommorow they will try feeder,Next day they will try trunk svc.
So much for job security.
Luckily I didn't do the lobbying, because you'd be seeing full Scania fleets.
Just saw the photo of that exterior LCD. Wow. Worst of both worlds.
Every taxpayer and fare-paying passenger just got Trumped. The lobbying is more serious than I had originally imagined.

We got Trumped when our PTOs stopped doing business with Scania.

If not for LTA,SBST wouldn’t use MAN buses. But now LTA seems to favour them much.

Maybe because MAN exclusive distributor is STK?
I have a feeling no more USB port

Nope, USB ports are a requirement
SG1750A debuted today 851e.
Supposedly 1751Y also but apparently it broke down. Or something.

Its gearbox stuck at 1st gear can't change up
I really think Volvo is done for in Singapore. MAN is now the new dominant force, and is trumping over Volvo in terms of innovations.
Volvo can only depend on the electric buses and hybrids to have a chance to turn the tables. So its 7900 has better win the likes of LTA.
saw the video of E6 A22
uses ZF gear i guess
Holy shit that new A22 is hella powerful.. no compromise on its acceleration.. and I think that bus isn't capped at 60kmh..
Feels like the O405 back from the dead.. esp with that "musical" sound that it makes..
kinda weird to see the new MAN A22 showing the road name on the front eds while doing 851e..
look like this.
EXPRESS > YISHUN AVE 2
with the service number missing.
