The steering wheel and switch design is just a design change from MAN. All the new MAN Truck and Bus will have this standardised design. In fact, MAN Trucks changed to this design way much earlier.

To solve this problem, LTA could just have adopted UNECE regulations.
Almost all European makes have front and rear fog lamps due to ECE regulations, and their lamps are compliant to the regulations (E mark), which is not a problem.
The problem is aftermarket lamps that are not compliant to ECE regulations.
I think you are referring to the day-time running lights. It is meant to be very bright so as to be visible in day-time. It will dim once low beam or park light is turned-on.
Daytime running lights is okay but not those aftermarket fog lamps that using super bright LED bulbs unless your vehicle come as standard.I install a small led light at the bumper of my Exora 1.6 turbo mpv so far no issue.I also install a small LED light at below the headlamp of my 600cc street motorcycle and using a aftermarket diamond shape headlamps with led strobe come with switch to on/off during inspection.
Also note. From pics observed the EDS does not look like mobitec. The display appeared to show Out Of Service in a different font.

The dimensions look the same size as Mobitec, and it's entirely possible that it's just a Mobitec unit but with different default programming.

I think SMRT will get the Euro6 A95 first,They shall continued to use the B9TL and Citaro.
After that SBST will receive those new A22 & A95 too to replace the DM3500s & Tridents and progressively B10TL SOs.

For reasons unknown, it seems they are no longer there.
Look like low entry with taller rear seats and 2 wheelchair bays
