What we know:
A batch of Euro 6 MAN single deckers has been procured. 12m long, no roof hair attachment.
They are buying 50 of them to replace the DM3500.
Can deployed to Airport svc also since got 8 speakers.
Suspect using Voith 4 speed as well.
Hope that it uses ZF transmission. Better accleration with comfort in distance travelling.

Sadly our LTA already opt for derestrict gearing..Gear 1 and 2 giving less power hence why our SG buses is too jerky.

LTA stupid is it ? Voith Gearbox makes the engine use more fuel compare to ZF gearbox doing the same speed . Why would the government want to waste fuel on large number of buses when they can save it ? MAN provides ZF gearbox inside the pricing, getting a voith one means adding money ( this info I got directly from my friend a senior manager for man / STK distribution ) He also said that the reason why government choose to spent more for a more fuel consuming gearbox is speed. The government wants slower accelerating buses so that it ( bus ) can follow the time schedule well because the A22 has the fastest acceleration compare to any buses So by limiting the torque the A22 will be similar or the same as other buses acceleration rates

If Voith gearbox is fuel guzzler then why there’s Voith A22,A24 and why SBST B9TL also got Voith as an option?Even our Citaro also is Voith equipped.SBST and LTA choose Voith because of its simplicity to repair and the cost is much lower than ZF.What is so great about 6 speed when its restricted?

I meant Voith eat a little bit more fuel than ZF but only eat A Lot a little of fuel
ZF pros - Quieter operation & smoother gear changes but ( cons ) more expensive to maintaindue to its complexity & number gears it has.
Voith Pros - Simpler design compare to its ZF counterpart & holds down more torque at 1st gear & relatively easier to repair ( less parts ) but ( cons ) it's more noisier then ZF, & slower rate of up shift.

It’s all up to the maintenance..Even ZF rattling change gear abruptly.I knew from tons of experience of driving buses.

Yep I would agree on maintenance Without one a expensive gearbox will be shitty

what rubbish? who is your STK source?

That’s not the reason la,Even with super slow Voith Citaro/B9TL BCs can also ahead of schedule. Its for safety purpose when you have low torque restriction.Pax won’t easily lose balance/fall should the BCs floor the accelerator and also less chance of hitting front vehicle upon moving.
Heard got new A95 at stk. Also no foglights like new A22. Anyway, anyone has updates on the rumoured new batch of A24?

Cut cost...Later on fog lights other road users complain too bright.Remember when Scania K230 was new?The horn is super loud then it takes a few kaypoh road users to complain so greedy SBST change the horn to mickey mouse sound...

Have you ever since before those fog lights being used? some how i dont even think it is working.

The CBU Citaro C2 isn’t that cheap even with 7.7L engine.

Is it? That's weird, because there's no switch to turn on fog lights.

B3 one chappalang also,Steering wheel got 2 design.Power Switch/start button also two type..
Most probably if they turn to normal beam then fog lights auto on,if low beam then its off
BTW sorry i mix fog lights with the LED strips on B2...Yes the fog light is just cosmetic look only.B3 got integrated led strobe light which is more than enough..Singapore is too bright la...Useless to on fog lights also
