LTA should start consider the euro6 MAN NL283F
But then SBST still need 30 units to replace the remaining extended DM3500s next year. Probably they will be replaced once the 50 Volvo hybrid buses arrive from 2nd half of next year.

Majority should be heading to SMRT to replace those bendies going off this coming 29/12.
Hopefully SBST can also take in 15 A95s to replace all the Tridents that are in bad shape.

Let SBST take in 30 units and the remaining 20 units let the 3 other operators decide...

Sure SBST will get la,LTA only distribute good buses like A95 to both of them.Commuters in Bukit Batok,Jurong East,Clementi,Pasir Ris,Punggol, Changi Village all are happy without new buses with USB charger

All these buses are registered to meet the dateline for Euro5 diesel. So most likely will just be parked n waste lifespan until more buses are deregistered or when the seletar package start or when new bus service are introduced.

Hybrid go SBST good mah. You won't like hybrid one. No power. Pick up slow.
Hmmm...the Citaros final number stands at 354 for Batch 3...what does this entail?
Anyway, after 7 days, all the laid up Habits are still in lay up status even though a few are on the roads.

It is indeed a waste that the Citaros get registered and put to storage, while the old buses get lifespan extension due to "insufficient buses". LTA should have planned ahead to register the Citaros earlier just in time for DM3500 retirement.
Not sure if there are anymore plans to introduce more new services for the next 3 months. As for the Seletar package, I believe that there are still plenty more of non-BSEP fleets to be redeployed on the affected SBST services and by then more non-BSEP fleets can be spared out to HG/BB to replace the DM3500s, nearing the Seletar takeover date.

they need the new citaros for the seletar package (spare fleets)... so no choice have to extend lifespan for some of the DM3500.....
there is not enough BSEP buses for SBST to go around, that why they have taken some new buses (1202-1207, 1231-1240 plus a few other) while sending some citaros/kub to HG/BB... the balance new bsep citaros (sv18/298/137 etc) should be coming over to AMDEP in january...
as for the DDs, there is around 70 units left and i think 20-25 units should be for seletar package...so left only around 40+ units.
So if they dun extend the lifespan of some bendies retiring in Dec and take in account additional buses needed for JK-GC shuttles, there wont be enough buses, unless they have make decision to order new DDs now.. but there isnt any news of new DDs orders.

it seem like the extra 24 units are 6819-6821, 6509-6529? so maybe these 24 units are under Batch 2 additional orders since these are registered much earlier...
don't forget KUBs. When is the KUBs introduce? i notice toa payoh flooded with KUBs and also increase of citaro "new" buses. take over some DDs services like 157 163

Yup. I agree on this point given the way things have turned out...will be seeking a declaration on this issue with the administrator at SgWiki.
The remaining balance from the December 2017 O405G batches (except 1131G and 1137R) had received their one year lifespan extension until 29 December 2018 without any lay ups...seems like the lay up ones will be off the roads soon.
In fact I am guessing, did SMRT simply extend and lay up the first few Habits just to separate them into two categories? Since 1117Z 1132D 1144U have already been reported missing before this saga happened...but then again, they do not have the same diligence as SBST because SBST do not need to extend all the remaining DM3500s and then officially take them of the roads selectively...

This is a Volvo B8L as reflected in OM...hopefully it's a Wright Gemini 3.

I think they will make bendies retire early in that case... Maybe from 2019 we wont see more bendies apart from the 40 A24s.

Its unladen weight is 14750kg vs B9TL 15430kg..Should have be 350hp/1400nm version, SBST is damm lucky.

Nope, the VINs for these buses are in a continous range with the Batch 3s, with a distinct gap of 1000-1200 buses from the batch 2s, an earlier registration may just be that the contractual delivery date for the buses were earlier, even though they may be ordered and produced later.

The B9TL has always been a heavy bus as compared to the competiton.

I hope this is the case. Since yesterday there are 60+ double decks registered, LTA should have immediately assigned 30 units to SMRT straightaway for the old bendies going off 29/12 batch. I seriously dun understand why LTA still want to go and extend the lifespan of those old bendies on the first place.
