I feel that LTA should give GAS to trial.
Both SBST & SMRT got a variant model and they used to trial a number of buses.
SBS (sans T) used to reject many MAN models.
But since SBST had won the seletar package they are entitled to use A95s. They are now accepted the a95 and they know that they are very good buses.
BTW IF GA has accepted given a trial for SG5999, Most likely they will deploy on full fleet DD services especially service 2.

For Punggol best candidate is 43 & 118.
For Pasir Ris best candidate is 518
Service 2 has good loadings for most of the route. Even upp changi rd north is a bit winding but with the last axle is steerable should be good enough to handle sharp turns. Service 143 had proven this well.

Not sure if PSR feeders need DDs. 359 has good frequency and loading is high only in east loop as west loop is covered by 58/88 too. 358 loading around 30-45 pax in both loops.

Why not?359 loadings can anytime beat 83 & 85 loadings and this crap GAS still insist on deploying full DDs which waste more fuel.I ever drive 359 number of times and the loadings during peak hours surely need 2-3 DDs..

Ha ha ha... yes if you compare it to 119 and 83, then almost all services can do with DDs.
Why is GAS being so stupid with its deployment of DDs? Why not give it to svc 3? Have you tried speaking to them?
