You mean service 7 will have some A95 for its fleet + there's a new service 7A & 7B to be introduced? When?

I saw a photo of 7A and 7B poster on Facebook and then realized it's not in press releases yet.
7A is full-day SWT from Bedok to Orchard. 7B is full-day SWT from Clementi to Dhoby Ghaut. To be launched on 25 Feb 2018.

one would think that cross island express / limited stops services would be of higher priority to be introduced first given the lack of them ,and of course the infamous mrt.
unless 7A/B is limited stops also?

They're not limited stops I believe.

Nope they are not limited stop but just short working trip type. Saw the real poster at Bedok interchange.

Another way of wasting buses,so these A variants under Clementi package or just like M variants which is under its parent svc?Good job.So after this should have 925# running full day at 30 mins freq also?LTA could just deploy those A95 on svc like 147,166 etc instead.
7A and 7B managed by which depot?

Wah then it’s a waste of resources for full day. Rather have a new independent svc not a/b/m kind

7A BN
7B BB
if im not wrong unless there's interlining in some way that enables both to be under the same depot

7A Bedok Int-Orchard then OS start midway from Orchard-Bedok Int. (BNDEP)
7B Clementi-Orchard then OS start midway from Orchard-Clementi. (BBDEP)
Clementi already so tight..Clever very clever.

When Route 7 gets farmed out what will happen to 7A and 7B? What if Bedok and Clementi contracts get tendered to different operators?

. I saw the poster at Bedok Interchange and it's says
6 am to 10 : 45 pm for weekdays for both 7A / 7 B &
6am to 10 : 35 pm for weekends for both 7A / 7B
But what I can't tell you is the frequency interval .
OR you all can come down to Bedok Interchange and check it for yourself
Edited - time 10.30pm to 10.35pm for weekends
& it's a full day service. Sorry.

7A will probably loop at Botanic Gardens (most likely), Orchard Blvd > Grange Rd > Napier Rd > Cluny Rd > Nassim Rd.
7B will probably loop at Bencoolen Street. There may be a possibility, to extend 7A to Bugis and loop at Queen Street, given that demand is also there.
7 will need two short-working services to be able to:
1. Break the 7 into two halves. Not to encourage passengers travelling to Bedok. Must encourage passengers to travel to the city.
2. Transfer passengers from Grab (Fares are higher due to high demand), Uber (Uber is going to shut down Singapore's operations soon), expensive taxicabs, and of course the infamous MRT to bus 7.

anyway got to wait for new buses to come in. Must be after Seletar handover. There are lack of spaces in depots. There are excessive storage too.

Soory my bad. It's PM and a full day service.
How do I post picture here without a IRL link?

Uploading to image hosting sites like TinyPic or Photobucket should work.

9 units of A95 how pathetic it is. LTA should force Go ahead to get more A95 units like 12-15.
Think they come tomorrow...12e already full B9TL,Might be for svc 2 and new service..
They've already too much spare DDs and too bad there is no Volvo left so no choice have to take A95.

Is volvo really that "good" over MAN? This is German we are talking about not China or some African made bus. Germans are know for one and only one thing Quality. Bus body is by gemilang so you can't talk about it ( CDGE wins off cause ) but compared chassis to chassis MAN edge out by little. Little means a lot in cost savings.

Their bus contracts is from SBST Pasir Ris & Punggol package which consists of only Volvo B9TL & MB Citaro..So too bad only 1 unit of B9TL SG5536B which already pasted with SBST stickers and yet they also kapo it..So i suspect another new service ala 12e for them..else why they need to take the A95?

Is not a matter of good or not...engine reliability, spare part costs all play a part.If you run a bus company depend on power output and looks only then your depot is like rojak,MAN here,Volvo there,MB here,ADL there,Iveco here,VDL there,Hino here and Yutong there..
