for sengkang-hougang package eh?

Most probably for Seletar Airport Terminal,Punggol North Int and Punggol Int.
Loyang will take Tampines North as replacement.
Location
Its along Sengkang West Avenue.
Goodness part of Seletar Farmway have to giveway to this
Expansion works for Yio Chu Kang Bus Interchange started..
Ang Mo Kio Bus Interchange Berth B1 under maintenance today (as of 10.45am). Boarding activities for Services 86, 130 and 138 are all being diverted to Berth B2. This is causing a traffic jam in Ang Mo Kio Bus Interchange especially since it at the right turn area. SBS Transit staff are assisting boarding passengers. Berth B1 under some door maintenance.
If LTA want to replace HGDEP,Why bother to expand in the first place?
If they really want to replace old depots,Then SBST AMDEP,BBDEP,BNDEP and SMRT WLDEP is on the list.
What we already known is Bulim,Loyang,Sungei Seletar,Ulu Pandan.
Under construction is Mandai,Gali Batu and Kim Chuan.
I feel there’s a need to built a new depot at Labrador for Bukit Merah/CBD svc.
BBDEP/ARBP can move to Ulu Pandan.
Suprisingly LTA put East Coast Integrated depot is 760 capacity.
If this happens also good
New Depot at Jurong Industrial to replace Soon Lee,Capacity of 550.
New Depot at Labrador for Bukit Merah package replacing Ulu Pandan.Capacity of 500.
Clementi Package took over Ulu Pandan,BBDEP/ARBP demolished.
New depot at Lor Halus for Pasir Ris-Punggol(Formerly Loyang).Capacity of 500.
Loyang Depot for Tampines Package:Tampines/Tampines North Int/Changi Airport/Village.
East Coast Depot for Bedok Int/Upp East Coast/Changi Biz Park and to replace Bedok Depot.
New Depot at Upp Thomson to replace Ang Mo Kio Depot.
Sengkang West Depot to replace Hougang Depot.

it seem like that they are clearing the land and building something on that old plot of land of HGDEP.
SK west depot estimated completion date will be 2023. so most likely the package will be tendered out much later... i dun think LTA will be able to adhere to their initial timeline. most likely SBST will still operate under the negotiated package until the depot is ready.. and once SK West depot is ready, i think LTA will ask SBST to use HGDEP as base for current BNDEP operation (so that they can build a multi storey depot at current BNDEP site).. by that time, the ECDEP should be ready as well, to take in some buses (together with the tampines package). that why they expand HGDEP as they expect to use it for another 8-10 years? (or else why they would waste $20 million on the expansion?)
AMDEP most likely will be rebuild to multi storey depot as well (as the masterplan show only half of the current landspace will be used for transport facilities ).
as for the west, i think there will be a bus depot at toh tuck (beside ulu pandan smrt depot).
the current depot such as ulu pandan/loyang will remain as it is.

SK West completion is 2022 barely one year after the bidding date.
But honestly,Loyang to Punggol also quite a distance between 10.4-10.8km unless they built a bridge from Pasir Ris to Punggol.

Only YCK is extended. Most probably another 15-18 lots

They are building that bridge.. but dun think it will be fast as compare to TPE... they cant really do much on the distance.. land is precious in singapore...

If you see the road surface and infrastructure of the building/Facilities/Capacity at Bedok North,Ang Mo Kio,Kranji,SMRT Ang Mo Kio and Hougang as well as Bukit Batok/Ayer Rajah you will understand why LTA opt for 500-600 capacity new depot.

Yup
There will be a new multi-storey Tengah Bus Depot with a capacity of about 600 buses integrated with the Tengah Train Depot for JRL.
The existing Choa Chu Kang Bus Interchange will make way for a Temporary Carpark.

JRL still in the works? I thought KBW diverted all funds to the new Tuas Mega Port.
