Hi mr carbikebus, not too correct. Service 85 does not go Punggol field. From Punggol field to int, service 3 and 83 have to go by field/east/central then reach int. 3/83 do not really compete with 381 for passengers because 381 needs to be in opposite direction of Punggol field (across the road) to edgefield plains to Punggol central to mrt.
381 route is well thought of when planned. Loops in such a way that it does not directly affect 3/83 too much. Now people no need to even cross the road. We can really term 381 as a 'lazy' bus for residents. Don't undermine the power of even crossing the road or crossing overhead bridge (via LRT platform). Many people are lazy to do that. 381 pampers straight down to the wire. Thus it is going to be popular. Cheers.
What will be the next new bus service will be announced
44/104/108/126/137/152
And the place for the next bus service lta planning officers are Weaste delay in training bus

Sorry,Punggol central 2 stops
Question: Are the two bus stops served by 381 along Punggol Central incapable for double-deck use? Since the shelters are only 3.7m high

Wa, extension to 25 indeed came true! Compliments 229 from New Upper Changi Road to Bedok South Ave 3 / UEC area especially for off peak hours due to 15mins frequency.
Not really sure about the need to extend 55 though, there is 13 that is duplicative.

Not only 13, but also 43 along that stretch also...
Upper East Coast Road: 13, 25, 43, 45, 55, 506, 853C
But why Svc 155 was extended to Bedok ah... So many buses passing by or terminate from Toa Payoh... 26 & 155, 31... Hmmmm

Could probably get rid of some MP services soon, way too much duplication already.
In particular 47 could merge with either 55 or 135.
