854 can be cut short to Eunos already since 25 is parallel to Bedok. No need extend 25 to UEC to reduce duplication.
Can't cut short . Many people whom I know need 854 to take from Bedok to Lento area ( st Engineering campus / Apple / Motorola. Whom depend on 854 for their daily jobs . It's not a small number btw it's quite huge . Really hope that they abandon the plan of "extending " sv25 .

I understand... I'm just stating my opinions on these services.
Thanks for the info.

Ya, cannot cut short. In fact, the link is very impt for ppl commuting frm the entired stretch and alighting anywhere aft these 2 routes split. I also commute 854 oftenly, and as far as i know, ppl make use of 25 and 854 to commute anywhere from bedok-eunos area to hougang. Arguably, 25 and 854 (in my opinion) share the longest stretch of the exact same route for the purpose to relief loadings, and trust me there are ppl who prefer taking 25/854 for long dist travels. That is why cutting it would never be a good idea. Extension ok.
Yes i know you might say take mrt then transfer is faster for these ppl, but rmb this: there are still a lot of ppl who prefer direct than fast commute, for the sake of convenience

They can still take 25 if it's extended, just need to go to bus stops outside MRT.
If they come from services which stops at Bedok MRT (e.g. 28, 67 along North Ave 3, or 2, 9, 24, 222 along New Upp Changi Rd), even better.
Originally posted by Sbs6750E:Extend sv 45 to CBP and sv 25 cover the lost sectors better.
45 has a number of pax taking from Bedok North Rd / Ave 3 all the way to Bedok Rd and UEC, probably for the shops and facilities there. 25 cannot compensate for the link, as it will mean either skipping Bedok MRT or skipping Bedok North Rd / Ave 3.
UEC <> Marine Terrace
UEC > Bedok Rd > New Upp Changi Rd > Siglap Rd > Marine Parade Rd > Marine Cres > Marine Terr (Loop)
1. Alternative to service 31
2. Connects Marine Terrace/Siglap Rd to full stretch of New Upp Changi Rd
3. Connects Bedok Rd with full stretch of New Upp Changi Rd
4. Runs the entire stretch of Siglap Rd and provides an alternative to service 40 between Bedok MRT and Siglap Rd.

Extending 25 to UEC is the most absurd thing I have heard of recent.
The frequency of 25 is every 05 minutes - so possibly running HC DDs empty between Bedok and UEC for no reason... doesn't make sense to me at all + there is 38/229 that are not used to its capacity.
I am sure you have got wrong info.
Lta won't be extended the bus service 25 for the feedback to the lta said that they are not considered for the bus service don't think that
Agreed,It wont be feasible to extend 25 to UEC just to create space there...
Let's see which package will use number 1,44,71,104,108,110,126,144,146,148,149,152,164...

Depending which svc arrive first..Svc 3,83 & 85.If 83 or 85 is in in front then together we can tank all the loadings from PGL Field to Int.
