Hi guys, let this thread be a short one.
What i wanted to do is to compile the transport stuff that we will be expecting in 2017. Let us help each other by filling in this while we pass from 2016 to 2017, so that we will have stuff to look forward in next year. A wrap-up of 2016 is done in landtransportguru so just go there take a look. Here's what i anticipate nxt year (not according to chonological order, but rather what i can think of):
171 amendment and 700 amendment/withdrawal
More services to call at Tampines concourse interchange
Sengkang feeder
And some more new services in Sengkang for Compassvale Interchange
382 diversion to Matilda BTOs
New feeder to cover Punggol East BTOs
New services for Tuas south and some more JIS changes
Don't be suprised if Volgren G and first batch Habit bendies also gone by 2017.
Welcome 122 A95 facelift and 15 Enviro500.
Trial of B8TL and Euro 6 Citaro. Most probably another new brand try to impress LTA also.
More new crap service which most of it redundant..More longer winding routes chopped into half.
Welcome 5th operator and probably the last.
Expect changes and revised BCM package.
I foresee a rationalisation of bus routes in Tuas, Singapore when the Tuas West MRT stations open.

I thought you say don't want to participate in this forum anymore? You should start today.
Intro of C151B and refurb C651
((Man I'm rly looking forward to STARIS 2.0))
DTL 3 may not see route changes. The bus network in the East is already quite well established.
much heavier loading on feeder-like trunks (like duh)
end of BSEP

66 and 67 duplicates >80% of DTL.

A wrap-up of 2016 is done in landtransportguru so just go there take a look. Here's what i anticipate nxt year (not according to chonological order, but rather what i can think of):
- Opening of Bukit Panjang ITH
- Opening of Sengkang Interchange Expansion (Compassvale Interchange)
- Opening/Relocation of Shenton Way Bus Ter and New Bridge Road Bus Ter
- Opening of TWE and together, the new Tuas Bus Ter
- Opening of DTL3
- Opening of Samudera LRT station
- Opening of Changi Airport Terminal 4 (and of course there should be amendments to bus services)
- Release of results for the 3rd GCM package
- New bus services (such as the 68 and 500 we have have discussing about :))
- Withdrawal of all premium services operated by public transport operators (but its just 555 and 598 left)
- Deregistration of some older buses such as O405G MKII (smiley)
- Awaiting press releases on developments and timeline of these projects (which may or may not come out nxt year):
- JRL and CRL
- SG-JB RTS and SG-KL HSR
- Buangkok ITH
These are just what i remembered. Do add comment if there are any left out. Thanks guys! :)And have a happy new year!
Hi mr CZT, hooray. Cheers. Thanks.

Ohhh wow how does a B8 look like XD
Based off LTA's news release regarding the negotiated bus contracts, perhaps we can expect to see new services in 2017 as follows:
Sengkang/Hougang: 3 new routes
Perhaps new feeder for Anchorvale, new trunk route (or routes) out of the Sengkang Extension Int?
Bedok: 1 new route
Suspect rationale is to enhance connectivity to DTL3
Tampines: 1 more new route (after incl. svcs 127, 129)
New feeder service?
Jurong West: 2 new routes
2x New JIS to better serve Tuas Industrial Estate?
Serangoon-Eunos: 1 new route
Suspect rationale is to enhance connectivity to DTL3
That's it for SBST, surprisingly for SMRT apparently there are no more new services to be launched (svc 883 is the new service in the Sembawang/Yishun package) so this suggests any new bus routes will be accompanied by shortening/elimination of other SMRT bus routes ...
Next year's global economy looks gloomy.
Unlikely our government will spend big money, unless it's to create new jobs and help the people cope with the bad weather.

Tampines: 68.
Sengkang: Unlikely feeder. Compassvale Bus Interchange probably conflict with Buangkok Bus Interchange, that's why opening delayed.
Bedok: probably to compensate a route cut.
Jurong West: One for Tuas, another for Jurong West.... may be 500.
Serangoon-Eunos: No new areas, so probably to compensate a route cut.

what i heard is the withdrawal of 700, introduction of a new service (973?) when BPITH opens, while 972 extend to Suntec...
