  SMRT getting more B9TLs again.. all in WPDEP with SBS stickers

  (on a separate note hope to see DDs on their feeders and intratowns soon too, so many bendies retiring end of this month and that day just saw an enviro training on 901s route)

  Saw 169,856,963,965,966 & 969 all got B9 cameos

  Starting January I suspect more SMRT feeders to start with DDs. Already the deployment on 962 and 883 that are like extended MRT feeder routes are doing well with DDs in SMRT area. 806 also start to do better with DDs with many people going upper deck at Yishun interchange.

  I hope SBST will deploy those A24 on 800,804,806,811 & 812 can use DD

  I believe for SBST & SMRT only.A mix of A95 & B8L to replace Volvo B9TL CDGE,Dennis Trident,Volvo Super Olympian and O405G.

  I feel SG traffic light management should follow HK style,very efficient if green lights meaning only vehicles move without having to wait for pedestrians crossing.

  You guys should go gebiz download the tender specs. Lots to expect for new LTA requirements, lots of rubbish to jack up the price of the buses.

  陆路交通管�局巴士�例署长陈玉�日�接�《��早报》访问时，谈�了规划接驳巴士路线的考��事�所需的筹备工作。

  她强调，当局在与巴士业者共�规划接驳巴士�务时，会尽�能�少乘客得转车的次数，而最��的考�是�确�乘客和巴士�作的安全，包括地�站外的巴士站是�够大，能�容纳大批人�时在站内等车。

  她以淡滨尼地�站外的巴士站为例，那里原本供接驳巴士使用的车站�于淡滨尼4�，但这�路�有两�车�，车��颇高，如果�有许多巴士穿行，交通肯定会拥挤�堪。

  此外，这个车站也相当�，�够容纳大批人群。陈玉�到车站实地勘察了几次，设法寻找解决方案，最�找到了�一个�于淡滨尼5�的巴士站。

  - Some MRT shuttle bus bus stops are further away from the MRT station due to safety consideration.

  - When planning a MRT shuttle bus service, the authorities try to minimize the number of transfers required by passengers to get to their destination.

  - Factors to consider include whether the bus stop beside the MRT station is big enough to accommodate many people waiting for the bus.

  - And also whether the road capacity and traffic condition can accommodate additional traffic from the MRT shuttle bus services.

  - Traffic lights along the MRT shuttle bus routes were shortened to give the buses more “green man� time.

  - Traffic inspectors were also there to curb illegal parking, to enable smooth passage for the buses.

  - The number of buses required was determined after the authorities identified the most appropriate route to run the MRT shuttle bus service.

  Some SBS Transit buses have been observed to be using red clips that serve both as wheel nut indicators and retainers.  They look similar to the red ones used by GA but adjacent pairs are connected.  These will seemingly replace the existing ric clips.  Only spotted on SG-plated buses so far.
