SMB3002K spotted training on City Direct 665 route, opposite Sri Siva Krishna Temple.
So maybe the routes are not tendered out based on cost, after all? Otherwise we will see SMRT operating all these routes...

Based on mileage
1000th post.
It's been 9 years since I first started posting. Much has changed since -- the public transport landscape, planning of new routes / new buses, and not to forget different forumers.
There had been rough times. Crowded buses, MRT breakdowns, BCM confusion during change of operators, fare hikes etc. There are also good occasions with better route introductions and improving MRT-bus connections. It is reported that an important phase of route rationalisation will take place next year, hopefully it will bring about reasonable and optimized changes to operations.
As bus enthusiasts, we shall continue to play our part on the ground to observe deployment and commute patterns, connect with communities and grassroots and gather feedback to PTOs such that they will be aware of changes and adjust operations accordingly.
Things will continue to change, as population rises, new towns are developed, new forms of transport technology emerge (both public and private), the economy restructures, SG public transport has to continuously evolve to meet the changing demands of the time, or become obsolete and subjected to public distrust.
Hope the best for the future. ~
I think SMRT Lush green Citaros will debut on svc 110,807 & 860 extension.

True, but hope they won't spam 110 and 807 with majority SDs...

110 with so many rigids is going to end up like 27 or the old 858.

Citaro hmmm...unless its a retuned one or the SMB ZF
In future,Common fleet in Airport is Citaro and a bit of A24...other than that is considered cameos

Seating wise all almost the same,Standing wise the KUB win by slight margin..A22 also can’t take more standing pax also but definitely more than Citaro

service 807 should put in a small number of bendies too..

While the 860 now is like 855.
Regarding the Seletar Line posted a while ago, I have a feeling it would go to these areas from Serangoon North onwards:
Serangoon Gardens
Lorong Chuan
Woodleigh
Upper Aljunied
Mattar
Aljunied
Guillemard
Mountbatten
Katong Park
Overheard some SMRT officers say some Citaro might be transfer to WLDEP.
LTA did not award any contract for the retender for City Direct 661-665 in august...
so now 663/665 are under TT.. what about the 661/662/664? SBST/SMRT/GA all dun wan to operate?
it seem like the tender price this time round have come down a lot.. (around 600K to 700K per contract, assuming that it is for 2 years as well).. compare to the previous 1.5mil to 1.8 mil...
Wow...not sure if service will be affected bo...
Buses aside ... (slightly off-topic)
If there were a North Coast Line in the future, it could go something like this:
* CRL may replace the stretch from Pasir Ris West to Changi Beach.

LTA can let those express operate full day during weekdays or let those service operate from morning 6 to10am and 4 to 8 pm every weekdays and reduce the fare to maybe $1.50 per person? express service can help to reduce MRT load and in the case of mrt break down maybe can help out. and allow standing or deploy bendy or DD
Any possibility that the line may extend into Tampines Industrial/Tampines North/Tampines/Tampines South (where Angsana Pri is)?
How many rail lines Sg need actually?Drill here and there again? After the Jurong region line i think is enough.
