An SBS bus ended up against the flow of traffic after it was involved in an accident with a car along Yio Chu Kang Road towards Serangoon Central on Friday (July 7) morning.
The Police were alerted to the accident at 10.06am, and the 54-year-old bus driver of the SBS bus service 72 was sent to Tan Tock Seng Hospital.
A video of the aftermath of the accident was posted on Facebook page Roads.SG, showing the shattered windscreen of the bus.
According to Roads.SG, the bus also knocked down a stretch of railings along the road before coming to a stop in the middle of the three-lane road.
Traffic police motorbikes were at the scene diverting traffic.
TODAY understands that the driver is a Singaporean male, and was sober at the time of the accident.
Police investigations are ongoing.

(pls dun ask abt bus routes suggestions and train breakdown as they are too trivial and others cfm will ask imo. Give some harder qns haha) ;)
Ask him does the two foreign Operators had any chances in future?

1) The new signalling system has led to a serious bottleneck along the MRT lines at the same time, commuters are having trouble at times boarding the trains and the doors close too quick on them. Is the system controlled automatically or manually? If possible, can the doors be hold longer to allow commuters board the trains?
2) How in the long run, will you see the BCM in Singapore context? Will it be like in the 70s where there are few bus operators and ended up some merging with one another?
I am concerned about 806 becoming WAB. Does this signal introduction of DDs on 806? Else 806 will fail WAB quota everyday or will be bombarded with A22s which is horrible move.

Maybe temporary deploy 9 A95 & 3 A22 then after a while spam back with those O405Gs that will retire next year,Just nice when SBST takeover. Why you so concerned?SMRT is famous for chut pattern to their WAB feeders mah..See those 912,913 for example.Almost everytime fail WAB but nothing happen.

Last call guys!

LTA has already visited my friend in another school a few days ago. So be prepared that:
1) LTA will NOT mention the bus system AT ALL during the session. Instead it's more like a career guidance talk.
2) The maximum number of letters for each question (submitted via app.sli) will be 160. So start shortening your questions.
My friend did approach an LTA staff during the tea session. I will post the questions and responses if anyone is interested.
Anyway, here are my questions: (I wanted my friend to help me ask but he didn't)
1. When it comes to bus route planning under BSEP/BCM, is LTA's main consideration about bringing commuters to nearest MRT stations, or offering an alternative mode of transport for long-haul journeys (both towards city and inter-town) besides the MRT?
2. Will there be actions taken (such as route amendments and mergers) to BSEP/BCM new services if their performance is proven to be unsatisfactory months or years after introduction?
I would also ask that many routes are very old and hence they duplicate other services and are winding. Is there any plan to rationalise such routes to make them more effective?

Recently with introduction of Sv 329, I feel Sv 325 is redundant already
Sometimes bus came although bus app didn't indicate the bus is coming

I'd rather have 61 split into two with the eastern half terminating there ...

So it wont terminate at RWS? Loop there? If loop winding sia, if terminate BC cn rest a bit like those 963R 188R
123 BCs are already able to rest at HarbourFront Int.
I wonder why 123 is extended all of a sudden... To make places at HBF?
Makes no sense to extend 123, Omg it's already so winding
