Recently, a few bus stops had their information paper replaced with a new one.
The new information paper has all the bus service numbers in green background, and if I remember correctly, the bus stops got additional symbols... can't remember exactly what the symbol is about.
As far as I know, the new design can be found at Tuas bus stops, and Queenstown area.
Eventually, every bus stop will have the new design.

Maybe Citaro LE..?
I really hope LTA will purchase more 12.8m A95 and the three doors A22 with modifications next year..

A bulk purchase of 12.8m A95 should be an ideal replacement - trunk (together with B9TL - feeders/intratowns) for outgoing 100 Batch 2 O405G from 2018 onwards ...
Batch 1 O405G replacement should be Batch 3 A95 from what I observed ...

Spread to all operators not exclusively for SMRT only.
Off-topic:
Apparently LTA just rejected a resident's plead for paid connection between Rochor and Jalan Besar stations.
Wait to see the mess (w.r.t. transfers) in October ...
Tuas West Extension opens tomorrow!
For the record, bus service 258 was 14.0 kilometres before route amendment. The estimated travel time was 60 minutes, and the frequency was 10-14 minutes. The service had six buses running, all of which were Double-decker.
For the record, bus service 256 was 12.0 kilometres before it was withdrawn. The estimated travel time was 40 minutes, and the frequency was 10-14 minutes. The service had five buses running: three Double-decker and two Single-decker.

258 no need full DD...

I agree. In fact, when 258 was launched two years ago, I was expecting them to deploy Mercedes-Benz Citaro buses, so I could say "I take Mercedes to school everyday".
Based on my observations on 258 loading, I would say that single-decker buses is enough to meet the demand, even at peak hour, especially after it takes over 256's quiet section and loop outside Boon Lay MRT station.
Ridership on 258 will fall. But what remains is that group of people who would continue to take 258 at Jurong West to connect to their buses at Joo Koon Bus Interchange. The bus would be very packed in the morning at around 6am, but during other hours, it should be quite empty.
Perhaps a higher frequency during morning peak hours would help. But generally, it would be more appropriate for 258 to have single-decker buses, instead of double-decker buses. No need for double-decker buses, actually.
Thus, I agree that 258 does not need to have full DD. In fact, it can do well with full SD, if the frequency is slightly higher during morning peak hours at around 6am.
3 DD and 3 SD also okay for the benefit of peak hours

Haha 40 min is the LTA indicated timing. As ive posted previously, got once i rode it without anyone boarding it for the entire trip to joo koon and it took 10 mins HAHA. so basically the way back would be another 10-15 mins HAHAHAHA

Because of these additions,Ive seen a number of 860 buses stop at bus stops for a few mins to avoid bunching
Wonder why LTA choose Jurong East as their HQ and not somewhere central like New Bridge Rd?They should choose locations which all 4 Operators operate.

They are occasionally bunching...and at times, at irregular intervals.
You can see 3-4 860 buses sticking closely to one another, then a big gap before the next wave comes in. Even the Citaros are rather empty, BC stepping on acclerator to rush for schedule.

choose HQ location based on where the 4 bus operators operate? really? so it will make it easier for those top management of bus operators to take their buses to LTA HQ ah?
LTA only deal with bus operation ah? there are more than 6000 staff for LTA...
netflix & chill

From Feb to now few more BTOs have been ready and open to occupancy.
Palm Breeze
Angsana Breeze (a bit of walk to ring road, still near)
Vine Grove (people can also take 805 from ave 4 but majority would still go Khatib).
We will see more SD->DD conversion on 860 in future with 2 more large BTOs on Ring Road still to open up by end of year.
