Bukit Batok feeder routes are not for intra-town connection. They only connect to Bukit Batok MRT station. Scarcely the new territory also like that, have one or two feeder route(s) loop around the area. Then in the middle got 160/180 thread through, just like 176/188/868 at Bukit Batok West.
Actually, I feel that Bukit Panjang LRT is a failure. From Bukit Panjang go city, the fastest is to take bus (or DTL) via Bukit Timah Road / Dunearn Road. What for send everyone to Choa Chu Kang, and have them take the longer route to the city? In fact, the entire Bukit Panjang town is a failure. Out of nowhere come up with a HDB town, with limited commercial and other amenities. (And considering it's at atas area, the price also not cheap.) Well, just my five cent worth.

Because BBT has so many high frequency high capacity trunks running through it. where is the need for more feeders?? Even 947 is almost duplicative to 187 that runs at 06-08 mins frequency during peak hours + got 985.

Sorry idk what u mean by one-sided? But IMO there shld still be some places where SBST and SMRT operate. Imagine singapore transport system all run by foreign operators, would we want that? I dont think i want that thou

I agree with both czt and dupdup. It is important to support Singapore based businessses rather than bringing in more foreign companies. I am much against it, as the profits they make help boost their countries' economy.
I much prefer bringing in more foreign talent as it fosters diversity and also brings in better consumer spending. Those foreign people earn salary here but also spend here and in turn help with the overall economy.

I didn't mean that all should be run by foreign operators but at least for the 14 packages 2 each should be awarded to TT/GA/Busway and SBST take 5 and SMRT 3.Furthermore the two incumbents got rail lines(EWL,NSL,CCL,BPJ LRT for SMRT/DTL,NEL,PGL-SKG LRT as their backbone) not enough is it?
I do agree we doesn't really need 5 Operators for the 14 packages unless its 15-16.

TT take Jurong West along with Bulim. GA take Tampines along with Loyang. 5th Co take Hougang along with Seletar. The rest remain with incumbent operators. Don't let anyone control more than 50% market share because nobody deserves it.
