And yes I have also agreed that 858 should fly Punggol Rd, with the intro of 507. But 507 shld not be charging Express fares.
erm but shouldn't any basic buses get another numbering? 5xx are mainly express bus svcs but not all express bus svc uses 5xx.
Originally posted by BusAnalayzer:Services such as 24, 27 and 858 should be split as they are too winding and have long looping points that causes these services to be totally unreliable on their return leg.
I really hope they can launch a MRT parallel service for 858 to Changi Airport that could go as follows.
508
Woodlands Interchange
Admiralty MRT
Sembawang MRT
Chong Pang (Yishun Ave 5)
Yishun MRT
Khatib MRT
Seletar Circus
Changi Airport
507
Sengkang Interchange
Punggol Road
TPE Punggol
Changi Airport
* 27 will be Tampines Interchange <> Changi Airport for Tampines residents with SDs
* 108 will be launched to serve HCI <> Tampines Interchange with DDs
* 858 will be Woodlands Regional Interchange <> Yishun Ring Road (loop) with DDs
I like the direct svc 507 between Sengkang and CGA, but any splitting of 858 would involve increased transfers for commuters, excess duplicative sectors, or both. I would suggest the following:
858: full route, Woodlands - CGA, frequency 12-20 mins. majority bendies, with published timetables. departures from Woodlands staggered with 968.
968: Woodlands - Khatib/Yishun Ring Rd, frequency 10-12 mins. half fleet DDs
861: Yishun - CGA, frequency 10-12 mins. half fleet bendies
Services on main loading sectors would be more reliable, while pax travelling between Woodlands/Sembawang/Yishun Ave 5 and CGA still have a direct connection, although they'd have to adjust their travel timings according to the timetable. Pax can also transfer between 968 and 861 if 858 is delayed or they just missed it.

You dont tell that to me... Im not the person who suggested such routing

Err pls dont touch 965, it is doing great as it is, amending it this way only unnecessarily adds travel time, increases delays and restricts options for those from Gambas to Admiralty.

Hi mr busanalyser, your proposed 967 needs to stop at TPE bus stop. Seldom have a bus not stopped at a bus stop if it is along its route. Cheers. Thanks.

It needs to be read in conjunction with sv 1 proposed from Sengkang that will stop at TPE.
The purpose of my 967 is to provide fast connection to Changi for northern suburbs. There are other services to connect TPE stop to Northern suburbs.

Hi mr busanalyser, yes I read that before writing. But still both 1/858/967 will need stop at TPE stop before going to airport. By stopping at TPE stop, it is not going to stop the fast connection for 967 to Changi for northern suburbs.
Same logic for 27/34 currently. Both still stop at TPE stop even though they could have made 34 skip TPE stop. Cheers. Thanks.

Hi mr SMB128B, yes I read that before writing. It still does not justify to make 507 not stop at TPE stop. Cheers. Thanks.
With all SBST/SMRT Airport svc already looping there,Why not extend 36 to Bt Merah and handover to Arbp instead? Can compensate GA svc 109 instead.

Svc 1 might be used for Eastern svc in future.

Hi mr SMB128B, sorry. I mean 967 needs to stop at TPE stop since it bypasses there. Cheers. Thanks.

You're not even making sense! The ENTIRE purpose of having 1/507 is to ensure that 967 does not need to stop at TPE bus stop!! So as to save travelling time for the north AND relieve overcrowding and congestion for the northeast!
Just coz it bypasses, means must stop? What cock logic is this? I can say 969 passes Jln Kayu also what... Why doesnt it stop there? Not that I want it to happen, but just to point to you how ridiculous that reasoning is...

But 967 is stopping at jalan kayu? LTA spend 25 million building the transfer bus stops at TPE, so die die must use lah. I think it is the most expensive pairs of bus stops in Singapore.

Hi mr SMB128B, let's look at things carefully before you make a fool of yourself. Who in the right mind will introduce both 1 and 507 having same route of SengKang interchange to changi airport? Note you remove 27 and 858 at TPE stop from airport and replace with either 967 and 507. So how does equation work out? Need me explain further?
By busanalyser concept, TPE stop left with 507. 967 totally skip TPE stop.
Currently, 27/34/858. Now left with 507/34. Can work? Let those logical people think it out. From 3 services squeeze to 2?
People who used to take 858 drop off at TPE stop to transfer to other services like 118 can no longer do so. Because 967 does not stop at TPE stop. Build TPE stop to facilitate transfer but now people aim to skip this stop???
Now any reviews about your intitial thoughts? If no, I got nothing to say. Cheers. Thanks.

Uh isn't 1/507 already plying the stops...
Also, 967 was kinda supposed to stop at Jln Kayu, since it was original 858 routing.
Even if 967 ought to stop at TPE bus stop sure, then skip Jln Kayu lor... It's 2 choose 1, not both.

Hi mr SMB128B, 1 and 507 are identical routes. Don't need introduce 2 new services with same routes. Cheers. Thanks.
